I would have to agree, and Anderson Co. is missing one of their key players aren't they? -

You would think an employer would like to know, or, win at all costs. -
Opinions on definition poor sportsmanship
Hard Court replied to einstein's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I think its good so long that it doesn't get hurtful. One student section would chant to current players while they were shooting freethrows that their brother, by name, "was better", some student sections do their homework. -

Mac Central seems to be struggling, did Watts play. -
It would be somewhat better if they did transfer sometime around the sixth to eight grades, the community would have a little to get to know them, and not have to read their bio.

Once more: Scott County, sans transfers ...

Sure, why not, this would take alot of the pressure of of the KHSAA, this would be more fair for all, rather than to some. -
That was an awesome dunk.

Tubby can coach, give him the kids with a little talent and work hard on defense, he will be ok, if he starts getting the talent in the state he will probably win the conference in two years. His team surely plays hard.

Euton is a very good player, no question. If a team is committed to playing good man-to-man defense, and a defender is quick and has size, you have a chance to contain him. You can't stray far off of him though, or send him to the foul line. -
Trouble in Raider Land?

How so? Didn't they sit him down for being late for a practice or game? This kid seems to want to win as much as anyone. -

It was good for both teams to get back in action after not playing for about a week, SC is certainly a very good team, probably didn't see SC's A-game, FC did play pretty good defense and had some breakdown at times, I would like to have seen FC force the SC guards to shoot from the outside more, they seemed to have gotten into the paint too easy, I have seen FC play better team defense, that was probably the biggest advantage. FC will be fine, when your shooting guard is in and out due to foul trouble, that is a big factor, we kept getting our MO broken. -
Should there be an AA State Tournament?
Hard Court replied to HOOPDR's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I feel a class system would totally destroy the State Tournament, but why not, it basically is destroyed now. It has always been great to see all the teams come to to tournament in march, some teams you never heard of, with community following, the chance of a lifetime. Now, with the Loopholes in the KHSAA's rules, what does it mean to get to the state if all you have to do is use the loophole and get the best group of players you can find? I could be wrong in assuming that the kids from Elliot County have probably been together since diaper age and the entire community has grown to know them all for all of their accomplishments, it may be years before another calliber of a teams comes along. Then, someone else after that. That is the part that has made the state tournament so much fun. When teams are able to reload by any and all means necessary, by utilizing a loophole, it isn't fair to players and coaches or fans. The real thrill of the majority of teams that have ever gone to the state tournament is winning the regional, all else is a bonus. Forget the rules, close the rule book, let kids come and go as they please, let it turn into an arms race for all. But its best when the community has known that special group of kids from the time they were virtually in diapers.
