Sharp from Owen county in 1996 and White from Gallatin in 99, both accomplished a great deal but never really got the respect they deserved in my opinion. Sharp led Owen to an upset of Lexington Catholic in the All A and then got them to the 8th region finals that year. White led Gallatin to the the All A finals and probably their best team since the 59 Jock Sutherland led state tournament team.

One big rivalry that should get intense is Ryle versus the new school being named for Ryle's late principal. From what I'm hearing this new school will be in the Union area with Ryle.

I don't know what kind of talent level Starnes has to play with at Henderson but in my opinion he would the one to make the splash. This man has to have a basketball IQ that is off the charts with all the great coaches he has been associated with: Rick Pitino, Kelly Wells, Russ Day and his father at Lexington Catholic.

Harrison has the numbes to back it up; close to 4,000 career points, finalist for Mr. Basketball, schlorship to the University of Kentucky, scored 73 points in a high school game. Come on, who else besides Lofton has really eclisped him for a high school career in the 10th and remember we are debating his time at Tollesboro not what he did at UK.

Yeah Chris had a supporting cast, Tommy Marshall and Brian Spence could play as could David Caudill a player Chris had with him in his early years. Few players can create the excitement Harrison did; everyone had an opinion on him when he was in high school and I really think he was comfortable with the spotlight. Until Chris Lofton in my opinion Harrison was the greatest player in tenth region history!

Wish Mike luck at Frankfort, would have probably won the 89' state tournament as a player with Bryan Station but had that ankle problem the whole week.

You have to put Chris Harrison on this list, I don't know why but everybody wants to forget he ever existed. Totally carried team a team that in 91 should have made the state tournament.

Pendleton will be a good team around January, I expect a more up tempo and pressing attack from the Wildcats this year to compensate for their lack of size. Last year these boys had no varsity experience and Simms was just getting his feet wet, this time all are more seasoned. Pendleton played a tough schedule last year and only the Hurricane had any varsity experience besdies the spot duty Crozier had.

They may modern facilites and a large talent base but just can't see the fascination with this job. It's in northern Kentucky, a football area, sharing the spotlight with numerous other schools and many things do in the winter besides getting behind a high school basketball team. I would rather coach at a school that has all the attention on it and basketball is the number 1 game in town. Mr. Biggs has only known life at basketball schools and having the attention of the whole community on his program. Once again can't see him taking this job and in my opinion it would be a hard sale for lots of people.

Really enjoyed watching A.W. and the whole Scott county crew from 98-99 play. Still say to this day if they had beat Ballard in the 99 state final they would have been this states greatest team.

I don't really understand hiring Reitz back, sure is a hall-of-fame coach but he is at the end of the road. The way I see this they are paying him back for his 90's glory and giving him a chance to coach his son. Bad hire for a once proud program! People forget but Harrison once was the top program in the tenth and now they are probably not in the top five. I will say this, anything is better than Lee Kendell a coach that in my opinion had the most talent in the region with Pendleton in the late 90's and did nothing then has started Harrison's road down the tenth ladder.

2005 Pendleton County has to be on the all-time 10th region greatest teams! Nine players from that team have went on to college ball and they played strong against the Mason county teams without Elliot. How about putting 03 Mason against 05 Pendleton for the all-time greatest 10th teams, this versioon has all the players in place.

If Buddy Biggs is the person they want I think plan B should be in order. No chance to get him from Ashland!

Jeremy Mudd was the starting point guard then was injured and Dillon Greene stated in his place as a freshman, so in essence they do have four starters returning.

watchout for Jeremy Thompson.. Hes been working real hard and he will have a breakout season this year!

Buddy Biggs wants to be a college coach someday, can't see him leaving what he defines as one of this states top 5 jobs for Campbell. Not exactly the right move on the career ladder!

After thinking it over Doug Lambert and Dillon Greene from Pendleton would have to fit on this list, Pendelton will be a force next year. Four staters return!

Ryan Hamm and Terrence Breckenridge are better than most starters in this region, shows how deep Mason is

I dont know but i do know he has been working really hard and thats all he talks about is playing ball this coming year.. I think he should but its not up to me:lol: There is alot of upperclassmen so i dont know if any of the freshman will be up there, even though with the 10th being down, they could start on almost every team:lol:

Well im a close friend of him and he is that tall, you might have been confused with Treg Setty because hes 6'4 or 6'5 and they could pass as twins.. Trevor is taller than Darius now and i am very close friends with the 2 of them and he definately needs to gain weight because hes not the biggest of the pack weight wise:lol:

Ethan King moved from Bracken in 6th grade! He has played AAU with Mason Co since 4th, the same with Trevor Setty.. They came to Mason one after the other..

Well I disagree, Trevor has really worked on his offensive game this offseason and really carried the team through the summer.. He was a product of the system last season when he wasnt needed to drive in that offense.. He is also learning to play with his height now too, hes about 6'7 now..

Yeah I sat there and pondered but i didnt know any that really stood out even though they will be good this year and some even better in the future.
