At Deming I'd say the best scorers/shooters are:

 

Stephen Staggs

Travis Massey

Matthew Grayson

Danny Jett Jr.

Scotty Graves

 

 

Does anyone else out there know who I could add to this list from Deming. Other people please post for your school.

Gayle was a good scorer he could shoot, dunk, rebound. I could back further and mention some other players from back in the day like,former teacher and coach Steve Gifford, Tony King, Joe Mitchell just to name a few.

Matthew Maynard. He wasn't the best shooter but he did the little things to score points

And he's playing college ball also. He was a good player on all sides of the ball. He can shoot outside or drive in against an opposing player and seemed to make it look easy. I've talked to Maynard after many a game and always praised his efforts.

Well I have seen tapes when Donnie and Ronnie Collins played for Deming. Both of those guys could light it up from three. Ronnie was a better shooter, Donnie was the passer. Conley was tough too, Very solid team. Hall of famer Gary Mckinney was there coach!!!!

Mason County -- Trevor Setty can light it up and Russ Middleton can shoot almost as well as his dad.

 

Montgomery County -- This summer Brandon Rash and Blaine Stull have been shooting exceptionally well. Blaine Stull had eight 3 pointers in a big game at the Blue Chip camp in Georgetown last night. One was at the buzzer to win the game.

 

Bourbon County -- Matt Wigglesworth is a streaky shooter but puts the ball up enough to keep his numbers up. I heard that the Dailey kid moved to Montgomery Co. If he is eligible, he can help Montgomery in this category.

 

Clark County -- Evan Bennett can shoot the three and if Mark Miller is reinstated, he can have some big numbers.\

 

Maysville/St. Patrick has a guard who can light it up but I don't remember his name. Anybody know?

That would be Chris Owens. Nick Anderson is another nice player at St. Pat, but as Owens goes so do the Patties..

Anybody know whatever happened to Danny Jett Jr. from Deming? I remember seeing him score his thousandth point his junior year and continued racking them up his senior year, then he just vanished, I think he even quit the team.
