CoachBuckett
Not sure why you think they lost any tradition?

KHSB1
I believe I would leave this job alone. Frankfort has lost so much over the years. Lots of problems at this school as far as discipline and having the numbers to have good teams.
acemona
I believe I would leave this job alone. Frankfort has lost so much over the years. Lots of problems at this school as far as discipline and having the numbers to have good teams. You apparently haven't paid attention to the football program lately, and this past year the the boys basketball program finished runner-up in the district tournament. FHS has several state finalists and a state champion in track - The boys soccer team is competitive year in and year out, and the boosters for the boys and girls have raised enough money to send both teams to scotland this fall they are two years removed from a state participant in boys golf. Outside of that that hardly compete in anything  BTW they have a new superintendent who is doing a great job and Frankfort High has a new principal and several new teachers . . . my feeling from being around the district is that it is about to bust wide open - in the most positive sense. The only fear is losing Coach Buckett in the next couple of years.
mine eyes
What happened to the Parsons guy that was coaching girls there a few years back?

Lots of problems at this school as far as discipline and having the numbers to have good teams. They have plenty of talent. School had some money issues. but that is resolved thanks to the new Super. The school has a good middle school coach that is teaching the kids how to play the game and doing it the right way. Mike Allen has to build trust with the kids and things will take off. Hilltopper2005
The revolving door at Frankfort High continues. They don't have enough money to keep a coach in any sport for a long period of time. Until they get their finances in order look for the revolving door to continue in many sports.
KHSB1
I am not talking about the other sports programs. I am talking about the basketball program! You have proved my point. Why is the Panther basketball program not raising money to go on a good trip. Frankfort has not had a good team since 1980. This is my old stomping ground. This is the way things are over there. This is the way things are over there.I do agree that the 1980 team with David Mills, John Bennett, and others was stacked. They were top 5 in the State most of the year, but I think Frankfort has had some very good teams since then. It is also a fact that Scott Chalk when at Frankfort High was dominating the District and the Class A region in his last four or five years before leaving for Franklin County. Word on the street is that the parents at FHS had alot to do with Chalk leaving Frankfort. I also understand the same happened with Norman who was dismissed mid seasom. So you don't count the five or six straight years that Frankfort won the district to be of any signifcance, or the run that they made in the all A tournament, or the fact that they have been to the Region every year since about 1998. You might have a point to say that they have not had a top 5 team in the state since 1980 but I may even disagree with that. I think Scott Kinney played on #1 or #2 team in the state and he graduated after 1980. The fact that they are not going on trip does not make them a bad team or make it a bad program. The simple fact is that with less than 325 kids in the school they have to share athletes and sometimes parents get tired of raising money. A coach with a lengthy tenure will certainly help out, but this program is by no means in the toilet as is implied.
KHSB1
Paint it as you wish and by all means its a better Class A job than Berea. Quit trying to make it a better job than it is.
EthanKings#1fan
Wish Mike luck at Frankfort, would have probably won the 89' state tournament as a player with Bryan Station but had that ankle problem the whole week.
