I could be mistaken but isnt Manuel, Mercy and Sacred Heart all in the top of the state rankings?? What a tough region to come out of. Congrats to Mercy and Coach Evans. I knew him when he was at Oldham. Was a class act then and still is now.

Congrats to Coach Osborne and the Lady Rebels. Alot of good players in this tournament. Was impressed with many girls but especially Gayheart. She can dominate a game by not scoring a point. What I have seen throughout the year she can not only take over a game but consistently makes her teammates better. Very deserving of player of the year award.

I would predict South by alot playing at home and they are the real deal. South by 20

I agree El. Gallatin has had the good fortune of having a long cycle(for a A school) of talent. Talent makes coaches look great and lack of talent makes the best coach look bad. Good coaches do make a difference but the kids have the most effect on the game. Gallatins talent didnt just happen over night. If I am correct many of these Gallatin teams the last 7 years have been undefeated as middle schoolers.

Brian Neal is doing a great job in keeping the top Northern Ky talent and keeping them home.

I think what FBD means is Owen and a few other teams can knock off anyone at any given night, but it would be hard for them to do it 3 games in a row. As shown in the class A tourny with Williamstown knocking off Owen. Anyone can beat anyone on any given night. Still think Anderson, S. Oldham and Walton are the top 3 to beat. If anyone else wins the region it would be a upset and that would be great also. Good luck to all the teams.

Great photos. As much time and sweat that goes into a season it makes you realize that there are far more important things than basketball. Congrats to Sayre and Williamstown.

As a fan I am not sure I like the seeding. If I am a top team of course I do but sometimes it is fun to watch teams that no one gave hope to playing in the finals. This gives all teams and players hope and something to look forward to. As far as the matchup. If I recall correctly. Owen by 21 at Owen in the 1st meeting and Gallatin by 14 at Gallatin. On a nuetral court the edge would seem to go with Owen. Gallatin is coming off a poor performance so they should come out inspired. Sounds like a recipe for a great opening round game to me. I would be surprised if it wasnt a close one and if it is I give a slight edge to Gallatin.

Sounds like anyone can beat anyone this year. Makes for a exciting season but nerve racking for fans and coaches. I will say I am a surprised how close of a game it was, but I havent seen either team yet this year. What were the keys of the game for both teams? Also Congrats to SK and W-town

Carroll is experienced and well coached. Their guards play smart and can shoot. As always they are a tough matchup

Wow. Much closer than I thought. I had heard this was Walton's 5th game in 7 days(or something like that) Figured Walton's size and depth would give Carroll fits. What's the story????
