The LadyBearcats won 1st place in the Dixie Heights Invitational Tournament.

They are very long on the inside and very deep. They still have a long way to go to become a very good team. But, they seem to be heading in the right direction.

Parity, parity, parity. Walton-Verona is in the midst of an eye-popping start to 2009-10, and is yet another team that is legitimately in the hunt to cut down the region nets at Simon Kenton in March. With the bigger schools seemingly not able to dominate this year, who knows? But one thing is certain, it's going to be a fun year for spectators in the 8th! Good job W-V.

Walton will keep getting better. They are young but the experience those players got last year is invaluable. Having everyone back, being extremly deep and talented helps to get off to this kind of start. Walton has a legitimate shot to win the 8th this year. Playing Simon will be a good test.

On the other end, more trouble for Dixie. Hearing that the Bowman girl has quit the team. That makes 3 starters from last years team not playing this year.
