Final. Williamstown led throughout until the end, but came up short to SK. Wainscott and Wilhoit showed why there are 2 of the better players in the 8th region. Wainscott scored 9 in the decisive 4th quarter. SK's defense caused problems for Williamstown.

Wilhoit had 21 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists before fouling out with less than a minute remaining.

Very entertaining game.

Much closer than anyone thought except the Lady Demons. Sounds as if Tori is back to full strength.

I'll tell you what. Wilhoit could have been a fighter pilot tonight! She hit everything she put up. Not pretty for SK but a district win is a district win. Say one thing, it ain't over till the buzzer with them this year.

Wainscott tough the last 5 min in the last two games. Brown might of had a dbl-dbl tonight. I know she had at least 10 pts and a good number of rebounds. Wainscott had a number of rebounds also. Her and Wainscott hit freethrows in last min. to secure it. That "D" better stay tough. Oldham at home tomorrow for the Pioneers.

What a long "edge of your seat season" this may turn out to be in the 8th.

Sounds like anyone can beat anyone this year. Makes for a exciting season but nerve racking for fans and coaches. I will say I am a surprised how close of a game it was, but I havent seen either team yet this year. What were the keys of the game for both teams? Also Congrats to SK and W-town

IMO, Wilhoit for WT. SK nose to nose "D." Wainscott - Brown hit 4 FT's with under a min. and WT missing FT's under a min.

Truer words may never have been spoken!!!!

This score is a bit of a shocker.

well one would expect the much larger school to win, however W-town can play. They alot of experience at the varsity level. Would be interesting to know how many varsity starts the girls from W-town have under their belts. I know they have been starting the 3 to 4 years.

It may be more than that! Some of them have been playing varsity since the 6th grade if I am not mistaken. Sounds like W-town had this game until it got down to charity stripe time.

Good all around play by WV and making the freebees in the clutch was big for SK. Brown and Wainscott both 2 for 2 under a minute! Brown's "D" on Dixon was special. If she (Dixon) comes close to her average this year and SK doesn't clear the hurddle. You had to be there to see the physical beating those two dished out on each other. They will see each other at least 2 more times and that will be key.

Does Williamstown have a Dixon as well?

Sorry, I was refering back to the previous game SK played against WV Saturday evening and commenting on Brown's and Pace's play progress. The Dixon I was speaking of is WV.

Waiscott and Brown had done the same thing in the W-Town game by hitting 4/4 FT's in final 1 min. again. Sorry about confusing the games. :notworthy:
