  1. No, four of their starters sat out at least a quarter each, if not more. Elliott can go about two-three deep on the bench without any problem. I didn't get to watch the JV but someone said that Bath beat them by about 30 and was pressing even at the end. That combined with Bath beating Piarist (93-9) who didnt even have a team last year, that I know of, told me they had it coming to them.
  2. I know nothing about that game except that someone said Leah Sargent from East did not play due to a groin injury. If not, that was evidently a big loss for East since Sargent had 18 points and 18 rebounds against Elliott girls according to the ADI.
  3. I felt statmaster regarded you as Pro Elliott(guess you are, you already answered that, "pro small school", and that is nice) and singled Elliott out for this reason, since Morgan was also named. Later dude........
  4. So sorry if you took my post as a slam or insulting post. I guess I could have worded it better if I had taken more time, but that was the only way (since I was not in this debate at that time) that I could jump in and get my feet wet without feeling that I was speaking out of place about Elliott. Nice post.
  5. Before causing this thread to be shutdown though, I will politely bow out and let everone have at it.
  6. I honestly don't know. I wasn't there. I don't have to resort to changing the topic around to something else to still say, If your prior post was interpreted correctly, THAT WOULD BE CLASSLESS. As for blowouts, maybe starters left in the game too long is classless, one would have to be there to judge that. As for an implied directed injury to a player or players, CLASSLESS.
  7. I think he means just what you, me, and most everyone that reads this thread thinks he meant. If he did, then he would in fact be saying that Roger is a classless act, IMO.
  8. I don't think I would set my season goals only on beating Elliott. They're number 9 (or was), remember. I just looked at justafans posts, and I would say he/her was "pro Menifee" but I could be wrong. I'm an Elliott fan though, and I would say it probably will be a different game when/if the two teams meet again. Elliott understood that you were missing a few players in their game with you. I still wouldn't count Elliott out in the next meeting though. After they get used to the idea that they can win some games after being in the cellar for years and years and years and years and years and years and now have a pretty nice coach........they will only get better, IMO. I will also admit that Raceland has a nice team even without their other 2 players, so they can only be better with them. Till we meet again..............
  9. Looks like I was way off base in my assumption. Thanks for the Rams stats. I must have caught the only turnovers (EC's) in my brief periods of the broadcast.
  10. He usually does. Ethan is a very good on/off ball defender.
  11. It didn't take me very long to see that I don't want to get in any verbal duels with AT1959. Anyone know a good interpretor?
  12. Bath is either really, really physical or your right on, judging from the stats posted. But I did not watch this game, maybe bad judgement on my part.
  13. Listening to parts of the broadcast, sounded like Raceland might have had a little better defense(heard several steals by Raceland which isn't the norm so far against EC) than the teams Elliott has played so far. True or not? Who won the rebounding war teamwise?
  14. Depth is the only thing at this point that will hurt Elliott's chances. It's hard to play 5-6 against a team with 6-9(or more) quality players and come away with a win. Not saying it can't be done, but it's harder to get the W.
  15. This quote is 100 percent correct. From what I can see reading these posts, there is quite a bit of disagreement from several people who really seem to know the Elliott game inside and out. I'm also in agreement with the only team beating Elliott is Elliott and if that is the case(maybe I'm misinterpeting things and am totally way off), then the problem solving starts with the coach/coaches. They need to grow a set and resolve these issues before they get way out of hand. Congratulations, Elliott County, on another win.
  16. Glad to see EC pull out a 49 point win while driving on the rims/axles.
  17. Loss as in short time or for the year? Keeton or Clarke?
  18. Looks like Rowan County is hitting on all 5 cylinders. Congrat's.
  19. Excuse me, but I left out the above quote in my former post. As I said, maybe I wouldn't want to play every team in the 16th, but I would want to play the Elliott County team.
  20. Maybe not all of the 16th teams, but I would definitely want to play the Elliott County team.
  21. Since they were the number one and two teams in the state and they played "whole two or three levels higher in comp" I'm assuming they played the national champs, college, and pro teams. I didn't see that on anyones last year schedule.
  22. Ferguson, who is/was Elliott's leading scorer, went out 2 minutes into the second quarter. He did not return until the half was over. One of the Faulkner's went out in the second quarter until after the half. I'm not sure, but I think around three minutes, at least three starters were out in the second quarter. Some/all starters played the whole third quarter, I'm pretty sure. Fourth was half and half. I'm not on the coaching staff on Elliott's team, so I don't know the head coach's thinking, but I'm pretty sure if I were, I would let my "heroes" get their averages before sitting out the whole game. Elliott could have just played subs all the game, but what good would that have done? I'm also pretty sure that Coach Mays had no intention of demoralizing anyone. He only had 10 varsity players and most played quality minutes.
