Cov Cath 76 Elliott Co 62
blueflame replied to HOMELESS CAMEL's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
You're right. Grimes held Ferguson a whole 3 percent under what he normally shoots, combining two's and three's as you stated.(According to Riherds and your 11/24 shot attempts, which I didn't have, but assuming your correct.) -
Thanks. It's really tough to even keep a game close when having an off night like that.

Cubster, any particular reason why Russell lost this game(besides the obvious, they didn't score as many points). First time I saw Russell play was yesterday and I was impressed. I had them picked to win this tournament. Just an off night?

Daily Independent Girl's Super 7
blueflame replied to Dirt's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Football is set up with different districts and classes, completely different format than basketball. In class 5a-district 6, you have Ashland Blazer, Bryan Station, Johnson Central, Montgomery County and Woodford County. Maybe the reason Johnson Central was listed in the super seven football is because they are in Ashland's district, which is of course ADI's hometown. -

Johnson Central is in the 15th region, which is why (I'm sure) they were not listed. This is the 16th region's top seven. -

Russell had completely slipped my mind. Judging by their record, they have been playing well, as stated, although I have not seen them play personally. -

I would switch Morgan and East around. Whether Morgan is then the number three team, I don't know, I haven't saw Ashland play this year. But I think on any given night any of these four teams could surprise the other. -
Maybe not a lot of Rowan posters on girls forums? In my neck of the woods, Rowan was always thought to be #1 or #2 in the region. In preseason rankings, they were in the top 2 also(forgot if they were one or two). I would say they are the team to beat in the sixteenth.

Top 10 Players in the 16th
blueflame replied to Michael Corleone's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Without "stirring the pot" and getting into a debate about who is the better player on Elliott's team, I will say this. I've never saw a team consistently send the other four players on the team down to the other end of the floor when the press is on. Any point guard that can consistently break the press by him/her self has never saw a good press. -
Bath county's middle school beat Elliott's middle school by about 70 this year also, or so I was told by people who know. This probably had a little something to do with the score. Elliott didn't complain, maybe just returned the favor?
