Well, I didn't make these statements but I can try to make it easier for you to understand. Number one: You said it, he/she didn't. Number two: The truth.

Absolutely nothing. Because of these "trivial" sports, Ethan and Evan Faulkner will continue their education on a sports scholarship. Jarrod Flannery, who is a senior on the basketball and golf teams, will continue his education with a sports scholarship. Jonathan Ferguson will probably continue his education on a sports scholarship, if he so chooses. Shae Ferguson and Lakin Griffith, who are seniors on the EC girls basketball team will also probably continue their education with a sports scholarship, if they so choose. Timmy Knipp, who is a sophomore on the EC boys basketball team, will also probably continue his education with a sports scholarship, if he so chooses. Kelsey Ferguson, a junior on the EC girls basketball team, will also probably continue her education with a sports scholarship, if she so chooses. So if anyone thinks that sports is just a "trivial" pursuit (lol), they probably need to rethink and ponder these things for a moment. BTW Fastbreak, the two posts you have made on this subject are awesome.

Just to be fair, someone mentioned that one of the starters (Wilcox, I think) for Ashland didn't play tonight. Although I think it would have made a difference, I don't think it would have made a 30 point difference.

Elliott has only 2 losses within their region, Rowan County and Russell. They have beat East Carter the only two times they have played, yet are behind East Carter in the local newpaper (Ashland Independent) at number four and have been most of the year:rolleyes:. East Carter is number three, Ashland number two, and of course Rowan County at number one. These ratings are for the 16th region.

Wonder who this said "some" is? I think a lot of people can't stand that Elliott is scoring 100plus a game because their team isn't. Granted, anyone that knows ball knows Elliott is not in a tough region and that if they were(or anyone for that matter) in the "toughest" region, it stands to reason that scores would be lower. But good job, try to run your barb in deeper next time, ok
