This should move Elliott up to number 2 in the Daily Independent ratings.

Nice win for Elliott County.

So, does anyone think that Elliot County can make a run for the 16th region title, or are the Rowans and East Carters too much?

Way to go Lady Lions!!! Already set a record for most wins for an Elliott County Girl's team and now going for a 20 win season. Sounds like EC Girl's trounced what some thought was the 2d best team in the 16th region.

Any stats?? I bet the Ferguson girl's and Lakin had big games?? I believe this game moves their record to 16-8 and they have not lost a game since the loss to Green County in Richmond at the All A State Tournament.

Who knows in this region ? Elliott has had trouble with their R's, they lost a game to Rowan Co. and Russell's Lady Devils. There are several teams in the 16th that could get on a roll and win it all.:idunno:

Elliott has only 2 losses within their region, Rowan County and Russell. They have beat East Carter the only two times they have played, yet are behind East Carter in the local newpaper (Ashland Independent) at number four and have been most of the year:rolleyes:. East Carter is number three, Ashland number two, and of course Rowan County at number one. These ratings are for the 16th region.

So, that being said, Elliot could be a darkhorse in the 16th region tournament.

Just to be fair, someone mentioned that one of the starters (Wilcox, I think) for Ashland didn't play tonight. Although I think it would have made a difference, I don't think it would have made a 30 point difference.
