  1. It would be hard for even the top coach in the nation to coach and win when his team shoots 28 percent.
  2. Evidently someone in "the rest of the state" views them as a decent team because most polls, in fact all the rankings I have seen lately, rank them in the top 15 in the state. On another note, anyone that "gets to Rupp" is a contender, or they wouldn't be there. And even such a twisted, egotistical Elliott maniac such as I have never thought that Elliott Co. was #2,#4 or #1 in the state, but all the same, thanks for thanking of us and all your kind words.
  3. I agree. In the other 17 or so games Elliott has played this year, all the other teams besides Rose Hill doubled up on others and left Ferguson out there by himself to shoot the ball. That's why (according to the Lexington Herald) he's the leading scorer in the state.:thumb:
  4. Actually there are 3 teams tied now. Morgan, East, Elliott are all 3 and 2 in district play. West is 0 and 3. Morgan, East, and Elliott have 1 game each to play in district matchups and West has 3.
  5. Someone needs to call the KHSAA to inform them of all these terrific scorers because on their "TOP INDIVIDUAL SCORERS" list there is no one from Elliott County or Sandy Hook High School listed. There is a minimum of 3000 points scored to make the list. That is, of course, for high school scores only.
  6. Sorry. Computer clock is evidently 10 minutes fast. You just posted. lol:D
  7. I think today's ADI ranking had Rowan #1 and Russell #2. Not 100 percent sure though. Rowan was ahead by 24 around the end of the third quarter.
  8. I'm pretty sure it was 1500 last year. I'd say he's really close to 2000 since he's averaging 20 something in 15 games so far this year.
  9. I was there also, sitting close enough to hear exactly what was said on the Elliott County side. The "inappropriate" comment after the Rowan player was down was "That's what happens when you let the game get out of hand" and was directed solely, I felt, to the referee/s. Then the Rowan fan (and I wasn't on that side of the gym so I couldn't say 100 percent sure) said "sit down and shut up" to the Elliott fan. Next were "why don't you come over here and make me". I'm pretty everyone can figure out where things went after that. Also, when Barr scored her 1000th point, all the Elliott fans, including me, around my area clapped for her. I did not hear a single boo from Elliott's side. I know we are back to discussing the game, but I just felt this needed to be cleared up. I will not respond to any negative comments hereafter in this post, since I'm not looking forward to having my account suspended and am not trying to "stir things up", just stating the facts to the best of my ability.
  10. Good game by Robbie Barber. 4-4 from 3 point according to ADI. Sounds like he needs to shoot more.:thumb:
  11. As for the Elliott County schedule, I really don't think the coaching staff expected this team to be as dominant in the 16th this year. Their schedule reflects the scheduling as it has been done for the last umpteen years. I think that the schedule was "beefed" up this year compared to previous years past, but as we all can now see, some more "beefing" would probably have benefited. The boys from EC evidently must have really worked hard since last season because it's now showing. They played the same game (6-8 rotation) last year and were not really a clear cut favorite(no blowout expected) in any of their games. Maybe next year the scheduling will suit everyone, who knows? Last but not least, CONGRATULATIONS, MASON COUNTY on another win.
  12. Raceland would be among the favorites. It is really a tossup between Raceland, Elliott, and Menifee. Depends on whose night it is. Elliott has beaten Raceland by 6 and Raceland has beaten Menifee by 4.
