This game was out of hand, but the margin was a little bit decieving, West has plenty of players on the bench, Elliott doesn't, no ones fault there. Decent game for the first 2 and a half quarters, West simply cannot handle the ball. Elliott's shooting was a little off at times for them, hence they were kept under 100 points. If West tried to slow the ball down, they failed miserably. Elliott was up the floor, and shooting a jumper in about 5 seconds. West simply plays a style that doesn't fit their players. Too many post up players and slashers are set up for jump shots or 3's. The only true spot up shooter on the team is Trevor Rayburn, others would be better suited attacking the rim, drawing fouls. Which brings us to another point, West Carter is probably shooting 20% on free throws for the season. For them to win they need a low scoring, grind it out type of game (although they will have to get more than 35 or so). Sloppy game overall, too many fouls called on both ends, i wish they just would have let the boys play, even though a few obvious fouls weren't called. Elliott is clearly the #1 team in the region, but i do believe that they are beatable, if a team is willing to slow the pace, attack the rim, and draw fouls.
