According to the radio announcer Ferguson was obout the only starter that was not in foul trouble the first half, so that was not a problem with Ferguson. The announcer also said at the end of the game that Ferguson only had 2 fouls against him the entire game and that he set out over half of the last quarter.

 

Ferguson had his 2nd foul in the second quarter and did not get any more. Evan had 3, and Ethan and T. Knipp also had 2. Of course he, and others sat out a portion of the 4th quarter. They were up 40-50 points. Part of it may be that when Elliott gets way ahead and sends in subs early, Ferguson plays the only position that the Centers kid is able to play. The 2 JV guards are weak ball handlers.

Sounds to me like they dont even need him if he is just a scorer!! Yeah right!!

24.3, 6.boards, 4 asst, 3 steals, 4 deflections. With a small statline like that I would say he don't help this team go at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think any team in the 16th will stay within 10-15 points of these guys, but I can't wait to get on here when/if it happens.

Alright, understood. I feel that it is way to early to make this type of judgement. Elliott has played three games and all three have been blow outs. I'm very confident that when there is a close game, that Ferg will be on the floor. He's a great player and will be on the floor when it counts. He played right at 3 quarters last night, what more is needed in a 50 point game? I just don't feel there was a need to keep him in the game any longer last night or in the first two. There is no need in taking a chance on an injury in a game that is clearly over. I don't feel that it is politics that has pulled him out of the games, it's just that the games were over when he came out. I know there was one starter that stayed, but someone had to with only 10 players on the team. And from watching the game, Ferg played just as much as that starter. Ferg is a great kid and a great ball player, and I love to watch him play as much as most anyone, but I don't see the need to keep him in a game that is a blow out.

Sorry, Sportsfan, didn't mean to offend you. I posted a reply. You are more than entitled to your opinion and I respect it. I just don't happen to agree. We agree on most things, but I don't think eveyone can agree on everything.

At the end it was either the senior sub, Maynard, or the freshman, Knipp. I guess they went with the freshman for experience. Did not really matter at that point.

I imagine it is to play the freshman Knipp to get him more experience. Maybe Elliotts coaching staff could dress 2 more JV players to give them a total of 12like most teams & this would not be an issue during the blowouts. Just a sugestion for what its worth.
