At the end it was either the senior sub, Maynard, or the freshman, Knipp. I guess they went with the freshman for experience. Did not really matter at that point.

First let me say I think Elliott has a great team that has worked hard to be as good as they are, and there is not a team more deserving of everything coming there way right now.But they need to sub with JV kids in a 40-50pt. game, if for nothing else to prevent an injury. The only team that can beat Elliott this year is Elliott.

This quote is 100 percent correct. From what I can see reading these posts, there is quite a bit of disagreement from several people who really seem to know the Elliott game inside and out. I'm also in agreement with the only team beating Elliott is Elliott and if that is the case(maybe I'm misinterpeting things and am totally way off), then the problem solving starts with the coach/coaches. They need to grow a set and resolve these issues before they get way out of hand. Congratulations, Elliott County, on another win.

Ttoday in these threads is the first i have heard aanything about this & from everything that is said the kids all get along great! Sounds as if it is one of those parent things! Who knows!

With great success comes great resposibility. I love the fact that Elliott has the ability to win the region this year, and the next, but how will they handle the internal pressure of the bullseye? I understand that they've been people to death here early, but people on here seem to think that there is a problem within the team. I hope not, no one needs to be jealous. Just enjoy that fact that you are on top of the mountain and not in the valley.

Some might want to "stir the pot". By why? Haters? I hope not. If there is internal issue Coach May and the staff will work on it. But how will they know what to do? is another question. Never really faced this type of disruption. As for the boys, they are just BOYS, not men. They need guidance and by what I've seen they've got it. So good luck and stay out of the "pot"!!

I have suffered through this entire thread and all I have to say is - it looks like the game wasn't exciting enough to talk about, so we've had to stray down this crazy path of school politics, teammate jealousy, and parent/fan bickering. I have not seen anything like this with this Elliott team and I wonder if anyone else has actually seen this, either. Perhaps, we should let them be kids and move on to the next game.

Seems that young Knipp gets the majority of the love from the Elliott staff and some media outlets. Ferguson gets lost somewhat in the shuffle. Of course that is my opinion only and I may be totally off base. I'm sure some of the Elliott posters will say otherwise. Sounds like the honeymoon is over in Sandy Hook. Great time to have discord, perhaps things can iron out before the games really start to count.
