  1. Ferguson, who is/was Elliott's leading scorer, went out 2 minutes into the second quarter. He did not return until the half was over. One of the Faulkner's went out in the second quarter until after the half. I'm not sure, but I think around three minutes, at least three starters were out in the second quarter. Some/all starters played the whole third quarter, I'm pretty sure. Fourth was half and half. I'm not on the coaching staff on Elliott's team, so I don't know the head coach's thinking, but I'm pretty sure if I were, I would let my "heroes" get their averages before sitting out the whole game. Elliott could have just played subs all the game, but what good would that have done? I'm also pretty sure that Coach Mays had no intention of demoralizing anyone. He only had 10 varsity players and most played quality minutes.
  2. Thanks for the correction.:thumb: I didn't think there were two Dulans on the team.
  3. Final. The game was played at Morgan County Friday night. According to the Ashland Daily Independent, Morgan struggled early in the game as the Lady Lions burst out to a 14-6 lead after one quarter. But they came back to lead 26-25 at the break. The scoring for this game are as follows: Morgan County A. Dulan-25 K. Dulan-8 Fugate-8 Eagle-7 Slone-7 Stamper-4 Williams-2 Elliott County Griffith-17 K. Ferguson-16 S. Ferguson- 9 Ison-5 Fannin-5 Adkins-2 Both teams will participate in the EKC today at West Carter. Morgan County plays Bath at 2:15 p.m. followed by Elliott and Raceland at 4:30.
  4. According to ADI's today edition, Elliott County is # 20 in the state. Whether this is true or not, I don't know. Maybe I missed something?
  5. After the refs come out on the floor, the dunking's over.
  6. In no particular order: 1. Ferguson 2. Faulkner 3. Faulkner 4. Morgan 5. Knipp
  7. Five or six open looks being missed could be said about a lot of players on Elliott or any other team. I'm not a statitician? but I would have to think that this would be an average figure. If every open shot was seen every time and it was the ONLY open look at that time and the shooter was good enough to hit it EVERY time, then yes, granted , you would have a better team and bigger score.:jump:
  8. Ashland must really be jellin' right now. Expected a win, but this is ridiculous. Congratulations........
  9. Congrats Elliott.....keep going!
  10. Congratulations, Lady Rams........Win a few (or more) and make the 16th proud.
  11. You are evidently thinking of someone else because he doesn't have a brother:scared:
  12. Congratulations for this achievement that few ever attain!
  13. Blowout by Elliott.
  14. i think it will come out next thursday..not for sure though
  15. I thought Elliott play real well in the 2nd half. The first half they had way to many turnovers, like 25 or something, but their pointguard sat out the 2nd quarter because of foul trouble which hurt them. Wests big scorers were Stevens 14, Webb 13, Shelton 10 with Kayla Burchett 9 and Charla Burchett 7. Elliotts were Lakin Griffith 17, Kelsey Ferguson 15, and Gloria Ferguson 14. But both teams played really well and good luck with this season to both teams!
  16. Yea I thought Elliott did good and most of their team is young freshmen and sophomores and even had a starting freshman pointguard. If they wouldnt have had so many turnovers in the first half and made their free throws I'd say they would have beat Morgan but good luck to both teams this year.
