  2. I think you are talking about #12, right? Just after a somewhat short par 3, and just before a long par 4.
  3. Triple Crown #4. Long par 4, huge lake in front of the green. The green has ZERO depth. From the tips you are coming in with 5 or 6 iron it seems like, and the ball is normally below your feet, tough hole. Kearney Hills # 13 (i think) Dogleg right par 4, deep bunkers just to the right of the fairway, massive green, yet very tricky. Usually coming in with a long iron. Boone Links #10, very difficult par 3, straight uphill, about 220 yards. IMO one of the toughest par 3's in NKY. Boone Links # 1 is very easy IMO. Straight away par 5 reachable in 2. Not much trouble, great way to get your round started off well, with a birdie!
  4. The whole course is target golf, the 18th is just a little more tougher. If you place your drive well, its an easy hole, if you dont it can be very tricky.
  5. #16 at Triple Crown- Par 3 over water. Resembles the par 3 at Augusta on Amens Corner. #14 & #18 at Lassing Pointe- 18 is the longest green in the tri-state. 100 yards deep! #3 at Kearney Hills- Easy par 5 if you hit a good drive, if you dont hit a good drive, look out! #18 Fox Run- Very difficult hole, placement, placement placement.
  6. Triple Crown and Traditions are great private courses. Tough to get on, but in great condition and both are great layouts. Triple Crown is tough, but could be made alot tougher, most of the members do not like to see the course play that tricky.
  7. The KIT tournament is as good as you will find. It is held by St. Xavier and played at Nevel Meade, at least when our team played in it. I think it is an invite only though, you have to be invited by St. X if I am not mistaking.
  8. Lassing Pointe Nevel Meade Kearney Hill Cherry Blossom Old Silo Nevel Meade is such a great layout. Very challenging when the wind picks up as well.
  9. I agree, he has never really impressed me that much. He didnt show much last year when his team played at U.S. Bank, at least I didnt think he did.
  10. Ha, I hope your kidding. Golf is one of the hardest sports to be good at. So individual swimming is not a sport then? You dont break a sweat then probably,(only cuz of the water).
  11. Four or five is still alot of technicals either way for a high school player in 1 season, well not even a full season... Thanks for clarifying up on the situation though.
  12. Well I have just heard from a source "very" close to this team, and said that Nelson has 4 or 5 technicals and was thrown out of a game and was suspended for 2 games.
  13. Have you been to any games that he did not play in, I heard from a different source that he has missed 2 games this year as well? The teams performance should not be a reason to get 1 technical foul.
  14. Thats what I would think, but a parent with a player on the team told me that, so I am a little unsure.
  15. I know this is a little off topic but I have heard that Nick Nelson for Ryle has 10 Technical fouls this year, can anyone confirm that?
  16. :thumb: Typical Ryle Fashion!
  17. From what I have heard, Nutter did not go out on very good terms...You might be right, but I wouldn't think that is why they schedule them.
  18. When Lafeyette beat Male in the championship. Lafeyette had a real small quick team against a much stronger taller male squad... Robert Madison went off... Maybe some of you will remember his quote "Let it fly, Let if fly"
  19. I guess you have not followed 9th region basketball much in the last 5 years... St. Henry was a solid team that year, won the region the following year, and was arguably won of the best all around teams to come out of the 9th in many years. Highlands was rated in the top 15 most of the year that year, they had Ross Nelter... Look at Ryles schedule. For example look at the christmas tournaments that ryle used to play in... The AIT South Laurel tournament is a very good tourny, and the Jefferstown tourney where teams like E'town were there compared to the last couple of years where Ryle has gone to very poor christams tournaments, although they have played well in them the competiton is much less inferior. The schedules are not simliar in any way... In 2003 Ryle played Warren Central a rematch of the sweet sixteen game, but yea your right "the schedules are similar" thats a joke!
  20. I am making the arguement that Ryle has piled up most of their wins against smaller/lesser competition in the last couple of years. Diamond Danyd then ask me where my success came from. So basically I am saying that ryle has many of their wins against lesser smaller school in the past few years...Hinting my previous post of teams that Ryle beat 4-5 years ago. The teams that I mentioned were teams that Ryle beat the year they won the 9th region championship.
  21. Pendelton County Fairfeild, Oh Jefferstown (recent state champion) Nelson County Bullit Central South Laurel (recent state champion) Madison central Holmes St. Henry Conner Highlands Cov Cath Dixie Just a few bigger names schools...The scheduling of Ryle and the wins that Ryle has over the last several years is definatley against smaller schools. This was also the best year in NKY high school basketball IMPO
  22. It seems that the last few years, Ryle has piled up the majority of their wins against small schools...
