Great team effort by Cov Cath. Sorrell had 25-30 I'm sure. I've never seen a team so focused on one player. He is a tremendous talent but doesn't have much help or anyone else really looking to shoot. Giwa had 12-15 most all in transition. Sorrell and Giwa missed 4 out of 5 FT's with about 3 minutes left that would have cut it to 3-4pts. Sorrell took a beating and earned everything he got.

A lot of layups and dunks for Holmes. Henderson was rather quiet. I guess Beechwood's coach didn't see the NCC-Holmes tape. They tried to run with them in the 1st half and were down 47-25 at half. Nice crowd for both games. Beechwood's boys played very hard. I hope they take some of the extra gate they got by giving up their turn to host the district and buy their boys some nice uniforms. They look like they are playing in gym class clothes.

Do these games start at 6 or 6:30 tonight? Holmes/Bwood is the 1st game right?

I'm sure all of the extra money Beechwood will receive by giving Holmes the district will go right to the football program!

I agree it was the right thing to do for all of the teams and fans, but I can't believe they would give up the home court advantage in what has been one of their best seasons in recent memory. To me it sends a bad message to the kids and parents.

Holmes won 63-29 at Beechwood. I think Beechwood had around 11 points after 3 quarters. I wonder how their players and coaches feel about the administrations decision to forego the homecourt?

I don't know the situation at Greenup but was as the Holmes-Greenup game. Not much talent on the floor for Greenup so I'm not real sure if the coaches could help much. Holmes could have won by 60-90 pts if they wanted. Their boys stuggled to advance the ball past half court.

Sorrell = Great Player Holy Cross = 12-16 or 13-15 final record I don't think he will get POY with that record. The 6 points against Holmes at HC won't help either.

Holmes was up about 13 with 30 seconds left.. not sure of final. Had 18 pt lead and Conner scored 9 straight to cut it to single digits with about 4 min left.

Jack Jennings was a beast. I believe his senior year averaged about 35 a game and shot an incredible 73% from the field. Avg. over 17 a game at WKU and played for several years overseas in Isreal and was MVP and led the league in scoring a few times. To my knowledge he never learned to dunk though! I also seen Scott Draud drop 69 at Holmes in 86 before the 3 line. He would have had at least 80 in my opinion with it. I believe the final was something like 115-109 highlands over holmes. He would pull up from anywhere and drain it. I'm sure Dixie or Ludlow could of used him!

Jack Jennings has the Holmes record I believe with 68 points against New Cath in 88. I think he missed about 6 shots total between FG's and FT's. Was at Holmes-Highlands game in 86 where Highlands won 115-10? He had 69 without the 3 line .. would have had at least 80 with it in my opinion.
