Yeah, I could see Holmes beating Conner by 30+ if they come out playing how they can. If they come out cold and play lazy, Conner could keep it within 15 or 20.

Having seen Conner play twice this year, they have little to no chance against the Bulldogs. The guard play from Conner struggles against defensive pressure on the ball. Holmes will create and score off turnovers at ease. I'll take the Bulldogs by 28. Then again, I did predict them beating NCC by about the same number.

Taking nothing away from Holmes for beating Greenup County by 49 points, but y'all do realize that Greenup has the 3rd worst record in the 16th Region at 6-18 and 3-13 against 16th Regions opponents, right? They've been spanked numerous times within a region that's nowhere near the strongest in the state. Not sure Holmes beating them can be considered much of a statement displaying that they're on a mission. I think they've been on a mission all season long, got a little full of themselves for spanking Boone and then underestimated a smart NCC team who cleverly took them out of their game. I would've been surprised if they hadn't killed Greenup. Conner has a pretty poor record as well as they do every year, but their losses usually come from a stronger schedule desiged to prepare them for post season play. It's not unlike them to stay under the radar every year and come to life and pull a few shockers here and there. To me, it's no shock anymore. It has become their yearly approach and quite often it has worked. Can't remember the last time they went to Rupp, but they've certainly played spoiler a lot in tournament play. With the districts just around the corner I'd say this is about the time Conner starts really turning it on to fine tune themselves for a competitive 33rd district tournament. I'm sure Henley's aware of this trend and will not let the Bulldogs overlook them, but that still doesn't mean that the Cougers won't be entering this game (at home) with upset on the mind as a big confidence builder. I say they play the Bulldogs a lot closer than Boone did. Holmes will still get'em though, but by no more than 7 points in closer game than the final results will indicate that gets desided at the foul line. ...Or not and maybe I'm just full of it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm expecting a good game though. :thumb:

Holmes was up about 13 with 30 seconds left.. not sure of final. Had 18 pt lead and Conner scored 9 straight to cut it to single digits with about 4 min left.
