I thought the football crossed behind the upright. I thought BW would of complained more on that. It is funny how one person says the replay shows he is not in and another shows he was. From my perspective, top of stands at that end, he did catch it and was in. The ball came out in the endzone after the hit. Thanks slick Hope 72 is OK for NCC. Hate to see injuries this late or anytime.

Where was the camera at the goal line? I did not see one. How can a player put his hands on the ball at about the 2 yard line, tuck it in and get to the goal line and not catch the ball? The ball came out in the endzone. BW does not know they lost. Check the scoreboard. It sounded like BW was pretty excited about the Win on the buss on the way out to the highway. NC had many more problems than the last call tonight. I will give them credit for coming back. It would of been easy to give up. My guess is this thread will end up getting closed before the night is out.

Are you saying this sitting in the NCC section? No way you can see if he crossed from there. I credit the ref for having the nerve to make the correct call. This debate will go on forever over was he in or not. This one play did not lose this game for NCC. All of the personal fouls and the unsportsmanlike conduct along with many other penalties were a huge problem for NCC.

The player in question here is injured. He can not play, but wants to remain part of the team. He is a senior. Did you happen to see the HC player throw the ball at him as he got up? As is in most cases the second party is normally seen reacting to what was done to him. I am not saying it was right to do that though.

You have been given some incorrect info. There are a couple players who have moved on, but Bertke is not one of them. Last I heard Sexton was staying with Bluegrass. He is apparently being asked to leave. What I did not understand about it is the part where these players think Coach Sanders can not get them into college. Coach Sanders has done a great job over the years finding kids a place to play and further their education. He has talked several college coaches into taking some kids who would not of otherwise had a chance to go on to college. I have heard recently that someone is spreading the word that Bluegrass has broke up and will not have any teams. This is far from the truth. Some people are just trying to get players to come their way. It is a shame what some people will do, regardless of who they hurt.

Nice article. Bluegrass looks have some very strong teams again in 2011. Should be a fun summer for the boys.

Josh Bertke from Beechwood should be solid.

I can assure you, no one from Beechwood is looking or asking for any pity. Are they as good as they used to be? Can the 2010 team beat the 1994 team or even the 2004 team? Who cares it is 2010 and they need to win come November 2010. If they go 2-8, it does not matter. It would make for great conversation by those around the state. I am sure it would be like blood in the water around sharks. Make no mistake, Beechwood will show up each and every week and expect to win. I for one will expect them to be playing at Thanksgiving once again. Just for the record, I am not a Beechwood coach.

I will not go back and see who made any comments about about slipping or whatever you may call it. If you know who made some of those comments throw the names out there Ram. I would guess not one Beechwood fan said anything about it. BW knew what talent they had coming up when they scheduled HHS. To go take on one of the best teams in the state is no small feat. Most schools would not do it. They would be more concerned about a win vs getting better. BW could of went and found some gravy team to beat 45-0, but what would they get from that. I am not sure what prompted someone to start a thread like this, but it is probably the same thing BW usually hears. Jealousy, bottom line. BW does not make excuses. They go out and work harder to get better. I have watched a few teams in the NKY area practice over the years and No one works harder. Good luck to your team this.

I am the same way. My wife says I can't remember to wipe my rear end but I could tell you what happened in a game 6 years ago. In some of the games it could be the inning, outs and players. LOL, Maybe she is right..........

Beechwood and NCC Beechwood and Cov Cath

Had tears in my eyes as I watched the video on CMT this morning. This is my sons senior year, but he can not play due to an injury his sophmore year. It is tears of mixed emotions. He can no longer play the game we love but he can walk.

Thanks! I was just curious. At the ninth region tourney they were told after the first game that the read out had to be turned off. The KHSAA rep did not want it showing.

Did you miss the point or did I? The references about CCH is about the last couple years, not this year. They were clearly not close to the team this year as last. The 2009 and 2008 teams were the best teams in the 9th each year. This is baseball and the best team does not always win. A very wise man I know always says " You only have to beat them once"
