I'm posting this video in the HS football section cause its about high school football and the memories and life's lessons from playing the sport. (If it needs to be moved, please feel free to do so.)

 

 

I know I never played HS football but watching this video has brought back SOOOO many memories from when I was a manager/student trainer with Rockcastle County. I would give anything to be able to go back and experience those fall Friday nights once again.

Had tears in my eyes as I watched the video on CMT this morning. This is my sons senior year, but he can not play due to an injury his sophmore year. It is tears of mixed emotions. He can no longer play the game we love but he can walk.

I think it is a little cheesy, but it is growing on me a little.

I saw this video a couple of days ago and loved it. I went ahead and bought it and put it on my iPod.

Yea, imagine, an entertainer doing something that is entertaining. What the heck was he thinking? And dang him for singing a song that people may like. I can't stand people like that.

For someone that obviously doesn't like Kenny Chesney, I have to say it appears you have followed his career pretty closely.

We are all entitled to our opinions ... obviously .. everyone elses is better, more well thought out, more important, more emotional, more relevant than mine.

BurnOut--thanks for proving my point. I can't stand Kenny Chesney--but due to blatant commercialism ... I know more about his "career" than I should (He is a Jimmy Buffett want-to-be--and that is putting it nicely).

 

Boss--it may be entertaining out at the Boar's Nest ... but here on Uncle Jessie's farm ... it is down right hokey.

 

The truth be told--at this point--I am a little jaded.

High School football is basically the last version of "pure" football.

It is where hard work, desire, motivation still trumps commercialism and the goal of making money off kids (and I know--that has changed long before this song).

I don't need some want to be Jimmy Buffett trying to act like he wants to honor the glory of something that is this special by making something that will fill his pockets.

Loved the video and the coaches speechs , the song was just ok.
