I agree with this. I still like it.

Chesney just handed us a custom made soundtrack that will be played in every banquet hall this winter with our own video clips. What a relief from blasting audio that parents cover ears of small children , due to innappropriate words, which in reality have nothing to do with football. I don't view this as commercialism at all, but an opportunity to highlight one of the best things this country represents.

I do think the video can stand on it's own without the pro football clips.

The video was good - just wished only high school or younger footage was shown. I did like the song.

I posted this video a few days ago here in another thread. The above is the exact reason I posted it. Payton explains for many of us what that played a very hard truth. You never get that feeling back past a few extremely important moments in one's life. I could care less about Kenny Chesney and I would of also preferred if the video was only HS and younger. the guy talking about his father never seeing him play and that everyone should play for their fathers that night. The older coach talking about how do you want to remember your last play. The hard honest truth is that many of us had no clue how special it was until it was gone.

It got me pumped about the season...can't wait for it to start. The speech at the beginning of the video reminded me of when I was a senior and Rockcastle County hosted Boyle County in the playoffs...its a tradition at Rockcastle for the seniors go up to the middle school baseball field and sit in the dugout and focus on the game and get pumped up until the coaches come get them...I may not have been a player but the emotions that when through me and what I said to the guys that night I'll never forget...yeah we did get beat in overtime but I'll never forget the feeling before the game knowing that I was truly part of something special....this video brings back all of those memories.

 

Another thing I liked about the video is that it just didn't focus on one team or teams from just one state. Celina HS (orange jerseys) are a 2A or 3A powerhouse in Texas, Naperville Central HS (the one at the beginning of the video and had Redhawks on the logo) are from Illinois, Battle Ground Academy is from Franklin,Tenn., and Gibbs HS (the ones wearing Columbia Blue) are from Corryton, Tenn.

Cant say enough about the song and video. Speechless. About like I've been the countless times replaying the video. I fell in love with the song a couple weeks ago when I first heard it, remembering my high school and college playing days, but this video just absolutely took it over the top. One that will forever be played and remembered.

That was an awesome speech by Payton, didn't care for the song though.

Song itself is okay but the words took me back to Friday nights a long time ago. It rekindled some old memories I have not had had in years. As I watched and listened to the words I had my own video playing in my head. Thanks Kenny for providing me with that. I bet many of you had a similar experience.

I don't get the comment but if HHS would have been in the video and I noticed who they were, I would have definitely posted it. There were a few schools that were in it that I could have compared different things to figure out who they were but I didn't think it was worth the time to do that.
