I love to see props being given to the line, no matter what team it is. They often don't get the credit due to them. It's obvious they are the building blocks of an offense.

If Male were to move the game to Papa John's i think it would be in favor of Trinity because it would be at neutral site vs. playing at Male's homefield.

I'm with you adopted admiral, I think Hart is an excellent coach. He won't let those kids lose focus. Obviously they can keep the focus with haveing only 1 loss.

Is it true Mayfield's center is a D-1 prospect?

Mayfield has had some great wins this year against some marquee teams. I say their tradition and experience lead them deep into the post-season again.

LaRue's only two losses were to Western, the team ranked highly on the AA BGP pole and Bardstown who was a class A powerhouse this year. What happened to the hawks in these two outings? Did they lose the game or did the other teams win the games? This game should be fun for they players and fans.

What are your thoughts about this? Were these losses flukes or were those teams not that good?

It's hard for me to predict this one. The Eagles played like no one has seen them play last friday. I believe they absolutely have chance if they play against Danville like they did against Bardstown.

Guess I'll be making the trip to danville next friday.

Not to critique Clark, but I wonder why Rashaud Barber doesn't get more carries. He had an excellent game against LaRue Co. in the JV championship last year. I know that doesn't necessarily translate to the varity level but it seems to me Barber might be another great weapon to the tiger offense.

I agree Georgia Pass. Lewis is an extremely explosive player. Sometimes it seems his technique gets flawed when stirred in with all the emotion, but I think on friday night he will be extremely focused and dominate at whatever position he plays on the d-line.

This is a little off topic but how does this year's Mayfield team compare to last year's state runner-ups?

Although Nelson's season wouldn't have been deemed successful by some, it made huge strides from last year's 1-9 team. Nelson has a new attitude and it will carry them into the future. I forsee an excellent game between them and bardstown in week one '07.

A bardstown vs. mayfield rematch would be highly anticipated around here, cardsvoice, thats is region 2.

i didn't get a chance to see the first game but i heard it was ugly for danville. Was this just a fluke for frankfort or are they the real deal? And is it possible that Danville is having a below average season compared to their standards?

this will be an interesting game. Bethlehem will come to garnis martin field with a lot of emotion because of the post game events of their previous meeting. i believe this game lies on the hands of the offensive and defensive lines. in the matchup 2 weeks ago bardstown's o-line dominated in the slop. with the middle three Mike thompson, Jeremy Gesser, and Aj lewis handled bethlhems 2 techniques and mike with no problem. I say bardstown wins in a nail-biter.
