Are there many schools in the state that have freshman soccer teams? Just curious, I dont remember Ashland ever having one.

I just threw Ashland in because it is a team in the Eastern half of the state, near JC. It's not on par with Highlands or Cov Cath, however I wouldn't say it is far behind Lex Cath. Either way, I think you get the point, Im not here to defend Ashland's schedule. I just don't buy the fact that JC can't find quality teams to play.

I'll be the first to agree with that. The only good thing about Valdosta is that once you are there, it's not much farther until your in Florida.

If I were Hoovers coach, I would probably turn down any other high school in the country.

This may be true, but for some reason I don't buy it. How come teams like Ashland, Highlands, Cov Cath, Lex Cath, etc. don't have a hard time finding good teams to play?

Have any changes been made to JC's upcoming schedules to strengthen them, based on their recent success? Just curious. It seems this would benifit JC in more ways than one. Honestly their schedule this season seems pretty soft, but that's not necessarily their fault, most schedules are made a few years in advance. However if it continues in the future it would be a shame, IMO. Play the usual powers every year, not just when your good. In that scenario you don't have the problem they do this year.

Abney was 5'8 160 coming out of high school. He's listed at 5'9 180 on the Bears roster. I dont see that big of a difference.

What colleges are after him? If he really runs a 4.3 fourty he'll have every major university in the country after him just based on speed alone. Derek Abney made it to the NFL on speed alone, he was a mid 4.4 kind of player.

I dont have a dog in this fight, but I dont buy this for 4.3 seconds, or even one second for that matter. I seriously doubt there is a kid in this state that runs a 4.3 fourty in football.

I think he just played his freshman and soph years, though Im not completely sure. Im sure a Rose Hill poster could tell you, if not I'll ask him next time I see him. Transfered to RH sometime after Mayo and crew arrived. Trey is the oldest of the three.
