Covington Catholic freshman have been absolutely dominant this season, and should they stay together... could be very scary in a few years.

 

They won the Freshman regional tournament over the weekend, and here are a few stats. Keep in mind these are freshmen.

 

Goals for - 62

Goals against - 3

 

Record - 16-0-1

 

GPG averages

For - 3.64

Against - .17

 

They have also scored within the first 10 minutes of a game 11 different times and have 14 shutouts. Never giving up more than 1 goal in any game.

I watched their game in the Regional Finals against Brossart. They don't really play like a normal CovCath team, but they are very tough. They just gotta watch their tempers.

Cincinnati Elder 1-1. Elder is a team that defeated Cincinnati freshman teams: St. Xavier, Lasalle, and Moeller, considered the 3 top varsity teams in Cincinnati.

The freshmen actually capped off an undefeated season beating CCH's JV regional championship team 1-0 in a shootout (4-2).

 

Congrats to the Freddies on an undefeated 18-0-1 season.

Are there many schools in the state that have freshman soccer teams? Just curious, I dont remember Ashland ever having one.

Most teams in NKY have freshman soccer, and I'm assumming many of the Lexington/Louisville schools do to feed to the varsity program. Many Cincinnati schools do as well, as the CCH schedule shows.
