Notre Dame University basketball last year was 32 points from winning 10 more different games. Losses like that will kill team momentum.

I'd forgotten about Valdosta, I guess their years of national championship type teams are over. If I remember right they were an 80's and maybe into the early 90's dynasty. Won a lot of games in a row at one point I think.

I think the refence to Bob is former LexCath coach Bob Sphire who has led North Gwinnett to a number one ranking in Ga. 5A.

Every high school team will experience a dreadful season from time to time.

Just being a Powerhouse for many years doesn't exclude them from a down season. The big worry is how they will respond and what they do in the following year to regain their dominance. It can happen to anyone.

I don't know ... I remember when Trinity started out 0-4 in 2003 with several close losses.

 

It can happen at any program, regardless of who the coach is.

No "supposedly" about it. The offer was tendered and Coach decided to remain at Trinity. I travel to Valdosta on business and wouldn't move there either. Valdosta has a number of obstacles that they didn't used to have back in their glory years. They will get better, but they will never be the Valdosta of old.
