As a point of clarification, Bardo was injured on a play where he was tackled while out of bounds by a St. X player. The St. X player made the tackle by grabbing Bardo's face mask and yanking his head around and to the ground. I have a photo of Bardo a foot out of bounds and on his feet with the St. X player's hand on his face mask. His injury wasn't a fluke thing. It was the result of a flagrant rules violation. My photo will run in next week's Inside Fort Thomas magazine.

Bardo injured his left elbow.

I heard that CBS will have 6 television cameras in use at the game.

And they're 4-0 to start the season with every win on the road.

Because Buten, Drennan, Hogue and Gold are ahead of him on the depth chart.

Both schools are excellent academically but Highlands offers a much broader educational experience in terms of courses offered, school activities and even sports (boys track, cross country, boys soccer). With the new fine arts center and state-of-the-art blackbox theatre and television studio, etc., it could make perfect sense for an excellent student from Fort Mitchell to consider Highlands.

The 90-yard kick-off return by Highlands in the first quarter for a touchdown was run by Jac Collinsworth, son of Cris Collinsworth.

Highlands freshmen fall in an outstanding game tonight to the freshmen from Louisville St. Xavier. Highlands went for two and the win with under a minute to go and failed. Two of the referees said the teams played more like varsity teams than freshmen teams. Two excellent quarterbacks.

Don't forget Collinsworth also returns punts and kickoffs, is a tremendous pass receiver, and plays defensive back.

And we really don't know yet if Guidugli will end up being a Division I quarterback. We'll know in a year or two.

Actually, Will Bardo, Austin Collinsworth, Colin Rosenhagen and John Drennen, all seniors on Highlands football team, were on the state track meet podium last spring for winning the state championship in the 4 x 400 meter relay.

Highlands must have had 10 or 12 40-yard touchdown bombs against Moeller and many of these were against Moeller's #1s. Highlands really dominated today. Receivers Buten and Hogue didn't even play and the Birds were nearly unstoppable.

He's a defensive lineman and a senior. He started at offensive tackle and defensive tackle for Rowan County the past three years. He's about 6-1 and 250 pounds. Nice kid.

Wide receivers Buten and Hogue were held out of the 7 v 7 competition with Simon Kenton.

Roller played inside linebacker. Welz played tight-end. With regard to the second teams, Highlands completely dominated. The quarterbacks were sophomores Towles and New. Junior quarterbacks Abner and Seidl played defense with the first team. Seidl has looked very sharp at quarterback in practice.

Colin Rosenhagen is playing outside linebacker and wide receiver. He's much stronger now and very fast.
