Brossart seems like they are picking up the offensive pace since Coach Schlarman moved on to Highlands.

I would say that the CCHS game is going to be rowdy one, CC is looking to define their season early and present as threat in the district. The only common opponent thus far is Silver Grove: BBHS- by 11 CCHS-by 20

Probably will be a good game, but I too pick Brossart in this one.

I think Covcath will be the team to beat next year, I know they won the JV regional last year so they have talent waiting in the wings. BBHS graduated a lot including Jim Uebel and Josh Kidney their primary goal scorers last year, not to mention a wealth of defense players. I would say their top returning player is AJ Wilson in the midfield. I also think Campbell County will have a great season and may even come out there district as champions. They return just about everyone except all state selection Nathanial Schneider. They should be a team to reckon with.

Who does Ryle return from their State Runner -up team? Does St. Henry return anyone from their team last year, I know Moffit finally graduated, it seemed like he had been playing there since I played (aka: a very longtime ago LOL).

I don't think Coach Yeagle would pursue this option, there is a reason he left a successful program at Beechwood, and I don't think he wants to go through that again. Let me follow that up by saying I would like to see Yeagle at CovCath, not sure about other Beechwood fans though.

If the rumors are true( and I hope they aren't) does CovCath have anyone one the back burner to take Coach Rodenbergs place?

I agree, CovCath is not a stepping stone program, and with CCH moving up to 5A next year, they are going to need someone at the helm like Coach Rodenberg. Although I wouldn't blame him if the Elder job opened up and he was in the running. The pit is a fantastic place to play and watch a game!

One of my favorite moments was when Bishop Brossart made there debut in the sweet sixteen in 2001, beating Graves County only to lose to Russelville in the next round.

According to mapquest, Somerset and Belfry are 175 miles away from each other, that seems like a long way to drive for a district game!

The 3A district will be a tough one, Somerset, and Belfry. This should make some exciting football.

Sorry to burst your bubble but, CCHS and HHS will both being playing in the 5A district next year, I don't think we have anyone in the 3A or 4A districts.

This is the 4 class Eulogy, feel free to express yourself about how you felt about the system, the pros and cons. Shed your tears and dry eyes as we lay the old guard to rest. It was a great run that we had with the old system. But, time also brings change and 6 new classes so out with the old and in with the new. Hopefully the change will preserve some of the old rivalries and generate new ones, but only time will tell. Let the Good times role!!!!!:dancingpa

I don't know about everyone else, but with the new class system, has the KHSAA made the # of state championships given to public and privates more even? Honestly, I don't see more than 3 championship trophies given out to each class going to privates. I applaud the KHSAA on how they have divided up the districts, I think it creates some really interesting football and has preserved some of the great district matchups.
