I'm not sure how much they passed throughout the playoff's but they sure didn't have much success with it or try to throw that much in the championship game. Brown's passing stats for that game were: 1-6 for 11 yds.

I just don't understand what would be so funny about me thinking that Bell or Rock isn't the best team in the mountains. :thumb:

Don't know a ton about other one of these teams other than they are both very good. So, I don't expect to see such a large margin of victory for either team, JMO.

JC will have to be ready to take Ashland's best shot on Friday night. I believe the Tomcats will come out fired up and play their best game to date this year.The Tomcats are far to talented for the Eagles to overlook but I have good feeling Coach Matney won't let that happen. The Tomcats come out and play their best game in this one but still can't pull off the upset. JC- 42 Ashland- 28 in a hard fought and gutty performance by both teams. GO EAGLES!!!

I agree, it's ashame that we still have a blind draw to decide who we play in the first round of the district. It takes all of the meaning out of the regular season district games. Many teams won't even throw their best pitcher during those games so the other team can't get a good look at him until district tournament time.

Firebird, I know you are pretty knowledgeable win it comes to the Eagle baseball team, what do you think?

After making it to the KHSAA final four in 2004, JC has been beat in the first round of the district tournament two years in a row. I am a big JC supporter and I was wondering everyone's thoughts on JC's chance of success for this upcoming season. I know baseball is still a long time away but I miss talking about it. I also know JC has a lot of talent coming back along with two of the top pithcer's in the 15th returing in Matt Fyffe and Justin Blanton. Any thoughts???

I wish the kid luck and hope he signs with a major D1A school. If he has a 40 time in the 4.4 range I don't see why he wouldn't be a major D1 recruit.

I don't know about cruel but I do know something that is funny. You are dogging a 10-0 JC team when you have a GCHS Lions helmet for you avatar... hmmm. what was their record this year? You might want to chose you battles a little more wisely.

Johnson Central has a tough road and will play the teams already mentioned. Boyd, Ashland or Mason, Rock or Bell, Highlands or CovCath, most likely Bowling Green. That will be a tough road.

I think this will be the most competitive first round game in the state on Friday.

Hope so, would love to see the Eagles get to Papa Johns and bring home a state championship.

Polls and rankings are all hogwash. From the AP to the Lit to the Massey. None of them are very accurate, they just give you an idea of some of the teams that are the top teams. I was just stating my opioin of why JC should be ranked that high. Of course JC would have a tough time beating Highlands, CovCatch, or BG, but I think all of these teams would have a hard time beating JC also that's why it is hard to carve a team's name in stone at the top of these polls. I'm not trying to say JC is the top dog in 3A I don't care if they were the #1 team in the state with all of the classes included. I don't put much faith in rankings so I really don't care where JC is ranked in the AP poll. The only thing that matters is how they perform on the field starting this Friday night.

I'm not putting the teams in order from best to worst record. I just said I think JC should be in front of Highlands because they have a much better record. Whats wrong with that?
