IMO some of this selective outrage is definitely gender related. People have a hard time seeing women act like the men do and will never be comfortable seeing that image.
IMO a lot of this selective outrage is also race related. Folks can try to dismiss the racial component all they want to but at the end of the day there are thousands of people who cannot stomach the sight of a black person talking down to or disrespectfully to a white person. Even more so if the person is a beloved white woman. Like it or not there are still people in this country who demand that black people know their place and act accordingly at all times.
To dismiss the racial component is being naive of our present day times in this country.
