Congratulations to Coach Tryston Ford on being named the new head coach at Danville. Coach Ford has been an assistant under Danville Coach Judie Mason and I believe he coached under Ed McKinney a year or two as well. Coach Ford is a 2012 graduate of Danville and a 2016 graduate of Kentucky State University where he was also a member of the basketball team. Coach Ford has been a member of the Danville community his entire life and is an Admiral through and through. I feel like Danville hit a home run with this hire. I couldn’t be happier for him and his family. Good luck, Coach Ford!!!

Scott Chalk is the director of the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches(KABC) and he said the goal of the series isn’t to make money. If that’s the case then carry on. At some point folks will realize that the money it costs to put on these games aren’t worth it anymore and put that money to use elsewhere.

I’d love to see either of them get the job. I love me some Buddy Trumbo so if he is in the running then I am hopeful that he gets it. Same goes for Tryston. I have a lot of love for Tryston as well and would fully support him getting the job as well. If Danville wants to make a hire that the community would rally around and possibly change things for the better at Danville then they need to take a hard look at both of these candidates. It’s truly a win-win situation for everyone. Danville hires either one of them and I’d definitely rock a Danville hoodie for the first time. Proudly.

There was an article out saying that he was checking into his dorm on Wednesday to begin building chemistry with the team on and off the court. Oh, and he was concerned about missing academic orientation.

The fact that the Indiana All Stars are still playing in the game while being just as committed to their schools as Reed tells me all I need to know.

So what will it take for this game to be canceled and never played again? At this point discussions need to be had on whether or not to continue this series.

I’ve never understood what he did to make people hate him so much. He’s not my favorite and I’ll rarely defend him. I just don’t understand what he has done to all these people that hate him. I like him way more than I ever liked MJ. That’s for sure. MJ is the ? and I’ll forever take Kobe over both of them.

This is the part of the new era of basketball that I don’t like. I hate seeing guys who are capable of physically and skillfully dominating down low do their best KD imitations.(Giannis, Joel, LeBron) They fall in love with the three and playing on the perimeter when they could crush everyone down low. Instead of taking 6-8 three pointers just take 2-4 and use those other possessions down low dominating in the paint. Drives me nuts to see them keep shooting from deep when their shot ain’t falling at the time. The Lakers went from up 2-3 points to down 3-5 points because LeBron kept shooting threes. Drove me nuts.

I’m mentally prepared for a Nuggets title. I hadn’t been. That reality is slowly settling in. The Lakers have an extremely small margin of error to avoid getting swept. Game 3 is going to be close. The spread is -5.5 Lakers at the moment. If I could gamble legally I’d be betting on Denver to at least cover. The spread at tip will be interesting. LeBron is old. Father Time is whipping him. If he is incapable of being efficient consistently then this series won’t last long. His inefficiency was one of the things that cost the Lakers the game last night. Crazy as it sounds to say but he has to be better immediately if the Lakers still want to have a chance to win the series. I still have hope but my expectations are the lowest they have been for the Lakers this postseason.

As an old head I understand people’s complaints. I have my own. At the end of the day the NBA product is BY FAR the best basketball product on the market. Folks can’t even say college basketball is more entertaining now that the NIL and transfer portal has given us true parity in college basketball. College basketball is garbage nowadays. I’ll always watch the NBA regardless of what they have going on because I want to see the best of the best play and more often than not they put on a show. Especially in the playoffs.

Load management sucks. A causal NBA fan planning to attend an NBA game should plan to go see the team before Christmas and make sure the person you want to see is on the home team. You very well could be wasting money until they shorten the season and make load management useless. As an everyday player of FanDuel I don’t mind load management as much as I used to. Knowing who is going to benefit from people sitting has proven to be profitable.

Great thread. Late to the party but regarding the All Star Weekend and the most views it has ever had. TV ratings are going to be a thing of the past in the newer future. Gauging how popular televised events are going to be measured in social media views more so than TV ratings. As phones continue to reshape the landscape more and more people are using social media to watch highlights and videos of these events. These “views” are now captured as stats and recorded. Mac McClung broke the internet that Saturday night and his dunks from that night alone are some of the most viewed sports clips on social media. So when you hear the NBA or NFL or MLB saying that a particular event was the most viewed ever that is what they are referring to.

Tough to say because she still needed Carson and without her playing the idol Carson was toast. I did find it funny in the next week’s previews where Lauren is saying that Carolyn is playing clueless when the edit shows that they ignore her immediately when she tries to talk strategy. ??‍♂️

The world is going to evolve and AI is only going to get bigger, better and stronger. How this affects humans remains to be seen and is a mystery IMO. I don’t feel optimistic about AI leading our futures. It won’t be beneficial to humans IMO.

I read an article saying that up to 300 million jobs could be replaced worldwide by AI. 46% of tasks done by administrative jobs and 44% of tasks done in the legal profession could be replaced. Only 6% in construction and 4% in maintenance. The early numbers support what you are saying.
