Twitter is by far my favorite social media. Unfortunately I expect it to go downhill from here.

Elon clearly overpaid for Twitter and I agree with him that Twitter as we know it is unsustainable.  He has to make some changes and none of us will know how it turns out for at least a couple of years.  I am rooting for Elon/Twitter and I hope that Twitter succeeds.

That’s only to be able to run advertisements, not to simply use the platform.  I don’t think it’s a big deal.  The amount of bots/fake accounts on twitter is crazy.  I’ve seen it first hand, I rarely if ever tweet but continue to get follow requests from attractive young females that are clearly not real.  Why would you request to follow/friend people who aren’t active on the platform.

Because they’re young and attractive single females in your area that need love, @sportsfan41. Geez…

I passed on all social media a number of years ago.  Nothing recent has made me consider returning.

Twitter is still my favorite social media app by far.  
 

It has gone downhill considerably since Elon took over and it will only get worse.

Every user experience is different.  I probably spend close to 2 hours a day on Twitter and I never get bots like that.

I don’t understand the point of paying for twitter unless you have plans to increase your social media presence.

I think Twitter will continue to be fine but I won’t lie, once Bluesky isn’t in Beta anymore and available to the public I could see me leaving Twitter for good if Bluesky is what they say it is.
