Yeah there is.  Bluesky is the only one that has caught my attention.  It’s the exclusivity that is driving the attention.  Smart marketing tactic.  Made by the same guy who made twitter.  Jack Dorsey.

I had never heard of Bluesky, I will have to look into that one as well when it gets out of beta. Thanks for the information.

I pop in Twitter if there is breaking news, but otherwise I'm not on it a whole lot. What's went down hill with it? From the little I'm on there I haven't noticed any difference.

It used to be easier to filter out what you do and don’t want to see so you don’t get triggered.   Once you figure out that part out on Elon’s twitter it’s easier to make your twitter stay more pleasurable.

Twitter cost $96 a year to get verified and $84 with a 12 percent discount. If you wish to do it monthly it is $8 dollars a month to stay verified. To me this is a complete ripoff and twitter will be done when the new app becomes available if  you don't have to pay to become verified.

Verified now means much less than it did before, which is probably the opposite effect of what they intended. I now make fun of people who have paid to be verified, they typically don't like that. ?

For BGP it would be $1,000.00 a month to be a verified organization, lol.

It’s pretty dumb on twitter these days. Only thing verified means now is you paid to have a symbol by your name. If anything, it now poses as more of a threat because people can more deceptively portray someone else.

I’ll admit I’ve always been a big Twitter guy, even now. It’s comedy gold and a real life train wreck before your eyes you can’t stop watching. It was like that before Elon, but now he’s the conductor and doing everything on a whim. His idea of being a good owner is being an active participant because his narcissism must be fed. It’s as bad as we all imagined. I ain’t hating, btw, it’s his platform and he can do as he pleases. He bought the rights to be hypocritical as he sees fit.

If Musk he keeps charging to be verified twitter will eventually cease to exist. I plan to leave if Bluesky is everything  that  everyone says it will be and will become over time.

Leaving Twitter for Threads.  I’ll likely just leave my account ghosted and keep the app but the way I feel right now I haven’t been on Twitter much while transitioning to Threads so who knows.  Might deactivate one day.
