It was announced in mid February that Premium+ will go from $22 to $40 per month. Not $60 as I posted.  I don’t know if there are levels above that because I have never belonged.

There are currently levels, but that could of course be going away too. 

I'm not sure why anyone would buy a monthly subscription unless they are vain and want to show they are "Verified" or plan on using the AI tools a lot. 

X is still the best place for breaking news. I rarely post but I follow several sportswriters and a few others. It's pretty easy to find out what's going on when a major story is breaking.

Again, I love Twitter, but it’s amazing the cesspool bot show it’s become. I’d guess comments are 95% bots and the gullible are unable to discern between fiction and reality. That’s by design, but it’s still a great place for breaking news and comedy.

I ultimately deactivated my account. I really enjoyed the people I followed and traditionally, especially during sporting events, it led to good questions and conversations, often humorous as well. But now every reply seemed to come from a blue checkmark that seemed pretty clearly wasn't a real person and I just lost interest.

I ended up going to Bluesky but decided to take it off my phone as well. It felt like I was inviting unnecessary stress into my laugh by having them so I said goodbye. I haven't really missed either one.
