In High School Football if you kick out of bounds one of the options the receiving team has is moving the ball back 5 yards (35 yard line) and make the kicking team KICK AGAIN. so kicking out of bounds is not a good thing to do.

this Spencer County team was very young last year if I remember correctly, and they put up a lot of points on Newport(50+).

If you pause the play at the right time you can see his left hand on the ground.

The 2006 NFHS rule book is 104 pages.

If you look very close and pause the play he does not touch the center's back he jumps right over him

Under 2006 NFHS Rule 2 Section 21 HURDLING Hurdling is an attempt by a player to jump with one or both feet or knees foremost over an opponent who is contacting the ground with no part of his body except one or both feet. so therfore on this play it is NOT Hurdling. The center has both feet on the ground and his left hand is also on the ground when the opponent jumped over him. the key is that his HAND was also touching the ground. It doesn't look like he stepped on the centers back.

I would rather see the PLAYERS turn the game around than "waiting on the cruical call from a ref" Let the players decide the game.

I would NEVER agree to call a DISTRICT game that I was losing in at the half! I would have to think my guys would have the heart to come out and win it the next day or whenever we finished it!

I like the Wildcats, But I don't see anyone beating Mercer this year. I just hope the "Best Coach" in Northern Ky get's the best out of his WILDCATS and pulls off the upset!:ylsuper:

Bottom line is the Big Cincy schools ( Elder, Colerain, St X) have to be on a down year for a HHS, CovCath to beat them and then it still very rare. thats not puttin down HHS or CC just facts. both games were good fun games to watch and leave it at that, all the If's ain't going to change the fact that a down (re-tooling) Elder team is better than a Top notch 3-A State Championship team ( CC or HHS will win State) from Ky. Nothing wrong with that, y'all gave it your best shot and came up a little short. enjoy the time and get ready for next week, don't spend all week ready to fire your coaches and raggin on how lucky Elder is.
