I couldn't agree more. Great year fo the Dawgs, Class program and fun to watch. Congrats to Mason Co. another class program. Great tournament and 2 well coached teams.

well said :thumb:

After watching both teams today, we should be in for a barn burner tomorrow. Neither team brought their "A" game today IMO, so i'm looking for both teams to let loose in the semi's. Still say Holmes by slim margin.

I'm not referring to that foul. that play was just hard full speed action. BUT at with about 1:20 to go in the game #4 and # 45 for paintsville show what kinda class they have... NONE Dirty play at the sweet 16 is uncalled for. show some class and take the loss and go on.

pops was right on it, number 4 for Paintsville is a dirty player! Congrats to Holmes players for keeping their cool and remembering why they are there. :dancingpa

I was at that game and will be at the rest of the games this tourny. Holmes will win by 17 today Holmes by 7 over Lex Cath Holmes by 12 over Mason Co. :fight:

Holmes By 21

I guess Holmes should just pack it up if they have to play Lex Cath? Look for the Bulldogs to win it all.

your right! HHS is used to having that kind of advantage from the line. I think they would have refs from other regions if they would have got to the "most important time of the year"

Hey Purple, Is Gary Fields still with the Bowling Green School system? he was an asst football coach back in the 90's and then moved into the Office i believe. He is a Newport Ky. boy from great Family

5:45 to go in the 1st half Belfry-14 Breathitt-07

Take EXIT 5 toward KY-8 / NEWPORT / BELLEVUE. Turn RIGHT onto KY-8 Turn RIGHT onto RIVERIA DR ( Party Source Store with Neon Lights on the corner) Turn RIGHT onto DONNERMEYER DR Turn LEFT onto WILDCAT DR. ( a tricky little turn, There is a small landscaped island, turn left at the far end of it) after you turn onto WildCat Dr. Newport High School will be on your right, the football field will be straight back about 1000 ft. park anywhere under the highway and get your walking shoes on it's a little ways to the field entrance. :thumb:

NewCath is never considered the HOME team when they are playing Newport on Newport's field. I hope NCC gets a field on the hill that would be great for the school and players.

oh yes! two of the best in NKY tied game with 1:37 to play what a barn burner :fight:

Birdsfan, It's all in fun. :dancingpa

:laugh: wait until you see the replay, you will see he stepped out at the 12 still good game, going to the wire

your sitting in front of your tv watching the game with replays... The Ref is making the call instantly.. you missed it too. the Kid steps out at the 12 yard line. the crew for the game is doing a good job. great game to watch tonight.

Did they get the lighting fixed? I remember a couple years ago half the lights would go out, but seriously Henry Co. has one of the best places around and great folks down there.

I will be there Friday & Saturday

They should dress the whole JV and Varsity team! Let the JV kids know what it feels like just being in the Region Tournament make them hungry to get back
