JBS's coaches may not always make their team play "team" ball, but their coaching ability is hard to question. Especially, Jim, he was a very successful coach at the college level. Gary probably doesn't know the game as well as Jim, but lets don't kid ourselves, Jim is probably the actual coach of this team. The Stepp's know the game, but want to boost the stats of certain players. If Breathitt and JBS both play team ball, it should be a dandy.

I believe Breathitt will pull it off in a shootout, 76-74. It will be a tough fought win for either team.

Should definitely be a tossup. Both teams come into this game playing well.

JBS had play better than they did against Jenkins. If they don't Knott could easily pull the upset.

Can we possibly say JOHN NOBLE COACH OF THE YEAR??? I know this was only the first game of the district, but Buckhorn made a statement tonight. I wouldn't want to play them in the district or region.

Has to be Hicks at this point. There are many other quality players, but Hicks is the key to Hazard's success.

Buckhorn has a quality ball club, but WOW is definitely right!!! I would love to see a small school like Buckhorn make another trip to the big show in RUPP.

How well did the Bobcats play tonight? Hopefully they will have a good run in the tourney. I figured that Jackson City wouldn't have enough manpower down the stretch to pull it out. But, at least they give the bobcats a good game.

I would have to give the edge to Breathitt by 15 in this one. Breathitt has too much talent for the Tigers. I wish both of my hometown teams could advance, but unfortunately they cannot this year. Good luck to both teams!!!

I should have went and watched this one. It looks like Madison Central is truly a quality ball club this year. It will be an interesting regional this year.

I had to work late and didn't get to drive to Booneville. How did the bobcats look. Do they look ready for district and regional play?

Yeah, all the teams in KY will be itching to get a shot at a ranked team. But, I also agree that it is great to have a local team getting some much needed recognition.
