When was the last time a team was undefeated against instate teams in Kentucky? I remember in the 80s Clay Co went undefeated one year. How about the Fairdale teams in 91 and 92? Did any KY teams beat them?

Congrats to Scott Co on the win. After seeing Madison play against Mason Co, I truly think they have a great shot at winning the regional. I still expect Scott to win and get to Rupp, but not surprised that Madison played them this well.

Good to see the Indians playing well tonight at Scott County on Senior night, wish I could have made it.

The 11th Region Tourney is going to be awesome. If MC can control what has been hurting them this year, turnovers and free throws, they might just repeat as 11th region champs.

I should have went and watched this one. It looks like Madison Central is truly a quality ball club this year. It will be an interesting regional this year.

Observations:

- MC is a tough team. I'd consider everyone of their starters Forwards or Centers. Big - tough and athletic. I thought they would miss Mathis's ball handling - and they did.

- I hope they end up on the other side of the bracket with Bryan Station.

- Morris was tough for us to stop. He can drive to the hoop or shoot the three. He is awesome in the open floor.

- Mackey was the best player on the court tonight.

- Walls had a bad shooting night - bad shot selection early - got a hip pointer in the 2nd quarter - showed some toughness the rest of the game.

- Cameron Hundley, Tyler Portwood and Jimmy Warren made a lot of plays to help SC get the win - rebounds, steals and hustle plays.

- There were some really bad calls both ways.

- Kudos to the MC fans for getting to the gym early enough to claim a section of the lower level that isn't reserved.

- Boo to both student sections for some of the chants.

- Big Cheer for the SC stat crew for realizing that the score keeper gave a basket to MC that was scored by SC. The scoreboard was corrected - with both score books agreeing on the score.

- The 11th region tournament is going to be AWESOME.

Chris James - a SC senior - was suprised to see his ailing mother meet him at half court in a wheel chair on senior night. It was an emotional moment for a kid who has had a tough way to go. KEEP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT CHRIS. We're all with you.
