It was nice of the Henry Clay team to show up tonight to watch the game. There were about 15 players and two coaches present. I hope you bought a hot dog and a coke each boys... We need that $$$ at Scott Co.

It will be Model most likely. Madison Central plays Madison Southern in the 1st round of districts. That means that either Model or Berea is going to get Scott County or Catholic. Model beat Berea by 30 earlier this year. :lol:

 

I thought that a Scott County vs. Bryan Station game in the 2nd round could be possible. I know that the 4 district winners will each play a district runner up (from another district of course) in the 1st round of region and the winners advance to the regional semi's at EKU.

 

The 1st round games are by a blind draw so Scott Co. could get Model while Bryan Station may play at MC. That means a Scott/Station or MC/Model 2nd round game could happen. Am I misinformed on this?

Teams from the same district cannot draw into the same side of the bracket. Madison Central cannot play the runner-up in their district until finals. IF Scott Co is fortunate enough to get by Henry Clay the Cards cannot play Bryan Station until the finals.

But I think this game just shows you that for all you thinking Scott County is unbeatable and will run through the state tournament like the UCLA Bruins of the Wooden Era, you are wrong. The Richmond area district needs to be seeded. I feel for Madison Southern because 99% of the time they field better teams than Model or Berea but always get the bad draw. It is an embarrassment to the district when the runner up is getting beat by 60 points in the district finals and 1st round of region.

 

I think Scott County is going to have a lot of pressure on them. Everyone (especially on this site) has already handed them the state title. They are without a doubt the favorite, but anything less than a ring is a major letdown. I think the other 11th region teams can play loose since none of them are supposed to be there at the end anyways.

You cannot judge this game for what is going to happent in the future.....Madison Central starting lineup is very tall and very athletic and killed SC on the boards and SC still won w/o Best post man 6'7 Jordan Lee

I haven't seen anyone hand Scott Co a state title. As a matter of fact, Madison Central has a better mathmatical chance than Scott County. This is due to SC having a tough district and Madison Central having a cake walk in their district.

I agree. The 44th system is a joke. Southern is the 2nd best team in the district and almost always is. And it slipped my mind about Jordan Lee not playing. My bad.
