I was never there but I can imagine it would start in the middle of December a team of young men pulling together and hitting the weights doing everything together banding together as brothers and when you hit the field in june preparing for passing camps taking every snap like its your last and when the season starts you practice like every game you are preparing for is the state championship 100% focused and losing is not an option; I wish I could do it again thats how I would do it.

SW's schedule is pretty loaded if they get a couple of quick wins and stay healthy this team could be just as good or better than last years team. And good luck to everyone who did make the preseason top 10!

I thought we might see Southwestern on the list somewhere but thats alright they need to prove themselves first.

If the qb gets the ball anywhere near him its a almost for sure catch. He is a Tough athlete and like I said in another post he is has to be in the top three for mr. football. Like others have said you have to get pressure on the qb.

ukfan it should not be about where the young man is getting offers from it should be about who played the best football that season sometimes the best player in the state does not get the big offers to the D1 schools for various reasons.

I do not believe D1 offers should factor in if you are a Mr. Football candiate or not.

Does anyone know if Somerset's field is going to be ready for week 1 yet or not?

If Cole in Somerset has a qb that can get him the ball like Deaton did I think he should be considered a top 5 candiate for the award.

Field looks awesome the only thing I did not like about playing on them was getting the black pelets in your mouth. Also I do not think it matters where the money comes from all that matters is you have the support from your local area and others who think it is important for the nice improvements who cares about the money i bet those kids cant wait to get out there and play on it.

I was a part of both of the central victories oxnard and both times their athletic superiority was suppose to beat us so I don't put much into the whole athletic thing thats why they play the games I say the tradition of tight games continues sw 20 central 19

I haved played against Somerset many times through middle and highschool and win or lose they have always had class. And I know for a fact they will not run from anyone the jumpers are going to be on the rise in the next few years I look for a ring before to much longer. good luck jumpers you have my support!

When any of the three teams in Pulaski Co. hook up you can almost bet on it being a good game.

I like watching Madison Central play they always play exciting football.

I played at southwestern and we took some pretty good beatings from boyle but never once did they trash talk or lose class. Every play they was there to help you get up or to say good play or good job man, I do not understand why everyone from mercer is blasting them. I am in my 20's but wasn't there an old saying that say's act like you been there before?

Somerset goes into this game as the best 0-3 team in the state they are just a couple of plays away from being 2-1 but, Danville is a well oiled machine and I think will be to much for Somerset so I say Danville 33 Somerset 17.

Just hear say but I heard some of the SW db's were practicing with the defensive line this week to get more physical.
