NCC is not #3. They lose to Ryle, Beechwood and Covcath. Sorry to my Bred friends, but last year is over. It's not 84. It's not 2005. You might be wanting for awhile for another one. There's always the year 2025.

Boyle football is far removed from the glory years. I don't think they'll ever win another title unless Smith comes back. Payback time for a lot of teams for some of the antics in years past.

Covcath's best teams have always been great running teams.

Not to defend Elder, but I'm sure it wasn't all Elder. Like Covcath fans have never been obnoxious? It's like the pot calling the kettle black. Why is it okay if Covcath fans are getting out of hand but now it's "those Elder people are some of the worst fans." ? Sounds like Covcath played a decent game, lost the game, and received some of the same treatment that they give to other teams and the Covcath faithful don't like it one bit. Learn from it, and don't act like that if your team ever starts winning big games again.

I never said it was 100% intentional. I just think it can be avoided by a few slight adjustments in play calling and defensive schemes. I don't know how bad Bourbon really is, but maybe they shouldn't even be on the schedule.

Sounds like the Highlands scrimmage was an aberration for Beechwood. I am guaranteeing two victories this season for Beechwood against the team on the hill in Newport. That is if NCC can get by Raceland this year.

So they go on and win ky 3a. That doesn't mean they were any good. By my standards they were bad.

Somebody will make Rockcastle pay for pounding a team like that. Every five or six years they have a decent team and do this to teams.

Highlands was never a good team last year.

Highlands never recovered from the Colerain beating last year. It wasn't the X beating. That game was just a continuation of the beating started the week before. I think you'll have a little tougher time with Highlands this year, But who knows, maybe you'll crunch them again. They were never a good team last year, so don't put too much stock in that victory. Just like when Highlands beat X in 1996 in the Tates Creek bowl. X was never a good team that year, so the victory was that big of a deal to Highlands.

Didn't Dixie have like 10 offensive starters returning? What a total disappointment.

That's a shame. Sounds like a close game and Newport had to get in the desperation mode after the interception return, or maybe a different game, who knows. Good thing for Ncc they held on tonight. They might have a lot of work to do or risk losing the next two games and going 1-3.

It's certainly going out on limb picking X or Trinity as number 1 when they have 6 times as many kids as the next biggest school. I do know the X and T faithful love seeing their name in print.
