I too watched Billy Jack and the Blue Tornado, from the sideline of course, of the 1992 finals. We had to beat them twice that year. Not bad for a team that only had 35-37 guys on it total. Lets go Birds!

With that team, yes. You have to see Brian Station to believe. Which is exactly why the recruiters from West Virginia State were there. I assume they were there for multiple players. What a game! We'll take that win and run.

Could not get over the athleticism of so many players on Bryan Station's team. # 3 was fast receiver. QB was slippery with his ability to elude all defenders and make plays happen. That game literally came down to the last pass by Bryan Station with 24 seconds left. I was curious as to why they would change their strategy mid-second quarter and pretty much for the rest of the game and start going for home run balls every time they got near mid field with a first down. No disrespect to Defenders coaching staff, but why change what is working for you. I personally am glad you did. Everyone there was very polite. Still can't get over the amount of talent that team has. Glad we don't play them again for a while. It was as close as a game as the state championship was if not closer.

Sad to see this happen to a program that so desperately needs some good things to happen. Howard probably needs to see through his thunder project a little further. Guess he wasn't ready to hand over reigns. Understood. But the issue is that it's added controversy to and ailing program that can ill afford any negative publicity. I am officially retiring from coaching after my experience there. My girls are upset, but understand. I wish everyone luck. Not coaching doesn't mean I can't still be involved, even with a new league...

I too have girls that played in the younger league this year. This is our second year with this league. The communication was not great. I dont think its a hatred of Fort Thomas, just a sign of not nice people. It sure is a long drive out there every week. Mr. Coffey could build quite a feeder program by doing a summer league at that new fancy field. P.S. I hear someone is starting a league in Fort Thomas and city is on board...awful lot of people in that league residing in 41075...

Yes, an uninformed parent of senior this year has already made a comment on Facebook. I think that he is doing the right thing. I also respect his father for giving him the choice.
