Yeah NCC and Bracken pretty much equate to each other. I hope you were trying your hand at humor or something but I do want to send congrats to Paul Wiggins on his first varsity win.

Mustangs on the friendly side of the running clock tonight. Put up 20 in the first and 20 more in the second period. Game, set, match.

 

I say this in all sincerity. Bracken County may be the youngest varsity team in the history of Northern Kentucky football. One senior, two juniors (one who doesn't start), 9 sophs, and 13 freshmen. Apparently having success in JV competition and their junior high is solid.

 

In the first half, Brossart QB Clay Kramer 58 yards passing, including a 48 yard touchdown pass to Garrett Ahlbrand. Junior Frankie Cetrulo rushed five times for 69 yards and a 27 yard TD. He also contributed four PATs. Other BB scores - Kramer on a 2 yard TD carry; Logan Schoulthies on an 8 yard TD run; Craig Pffefferman on a 40 yard Pick 6; and Joey Heim on a 2 yard TD carry.

 

Mustangs take a week off for the scheduled BYE, and then host Ludlow (42-0 winners over Bracken County), in a Thursday night, September 18th, game at Scott High School.

I've said previously that I really admire the BB boys who have stuck it out. Not easy to do.

I noticed Bracken had been beaten handily every time out this season, but with that much youth I can see why. Hopefully some of their lower grade successes will get the Polar Bears back up to some more success in the next couple of years.

What time will the parade start tomorrow morning on Pete Neiser Drive? Celebrate it! I'm so happy for my wife's alma mater and especially to those kids that have gutted it out. Congrats to coaches, parents, and fans too!
