It's Homecoming week for the Birds- Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet.

Who wins and why?

Highlands will win this game. The question is...can JH be competitive? They are very young this year especially up front. I hope they can play well enough to keep it close. Either way, its an opportunity to improve.

Highlands 42-14.

If JH is competitive, I would say Highlands fans need to become pretty worried. I predict a Bluebird blowout though.

JH played well against Meade @ Meade. Thats a tough place to get a win. I was a bit surprised by that. I was hoping JH could carry some of that momentum into Ft. Thomas.

Highlands 42 - 17

Highlands 42-12 or 42-18 because John Hardin cannot make an XP to save their lives. If they could they would have beaten Meade.

Hoss403..The score was closer than the actual game. Now John played a great game. However Meade also missed an x-point and should have kicked a Field goal. Not to mention John's first TD was questionable. No way the Ref on the goal line on Meade's sidline sees that fumble. You couldn't even see the runner the play was over..thats why no one immediately jumped on the ball. Looked like another Scott Co call. John got awful lucky on a few pass plays as well. We drop 2 interceptions. Meade totally dominated John in the second half. John had no answer for Meade's power running Game. Again John played well..

I won't disagree with you, but I am speaking from a John Hardin perspective. We have missed two XPs against Seneca, Central Hardin and Meade County. I will admit we may have been fortunate on several plays, but from a JH point of view, if we could make a simple XP, we would have won. Taking nothing away from Meade, but that's how I see it.

I just look forward to another home game!

This game will tell us a bit more about the Bluebirds than the first two games. JH will not be able to line up and play power football and control the clock like CC did in week 1. JH does not have the number of athletes to spread the field and hurt the Birds with the big play like Bryan Station did. The QB may be a nice player for JH, but he does not put the fear of taking each snap to the house like the young man from Bryan Station did.

Defensively, JH's youth will really hurt them. You can get away with playing young athletes on the offensive side of the ball - on defense experience is important. HHS should be able to put a lot of points on the board.
