C'mon JB, you're better than this...don't sink to their level. Everyone on here knows the reputation of jolmstead and CF and any respectable poster doesn't take what they say seriously. I let CF bait me a few years ago but I refuse to do it now. We need to rise above. It's just like our SK buddy that had a little stint on here making his living getting all respected programs' fans in an uproar.

Jolmsteads posts are sure sounding like a certain SK fan that I haven't heard from in awhile. Is he posting under a new name? I'd be careful posting about PED's publicly and maybe review the KRS (Kentucky Revised Statutes) on slander. I honestly don't care who fills the void but hope they get someone to because I live for going to these games.

I haven't seen many games but watching him scream the way he does can't help these kids or his blood pressure! If you constantly scream at kids through my experience coaching eventually they tune it out like white noise. I think it's time to get someone involved with the program that has a Dale Mueller type personality. A positive spin to draw more kids.

Would love to see Johnson/Saunders matchup. This may be one for the ages.

You can't really call this an all-star game if the best players aren't on the team. No knock on the ones that were picked but to have no one from 3 of this years state champs teams on there doesn't make sense.

I think him and especially Holly have done their share. We don't treat him like that here. That's why he lives here.

Some day, when I hit the powerball... I'm buying the houses next to HHS and we will build my dream bowl stadium in current Death Valley. It just makes too much sense to have a field down there. Then you could have the area behind school for whatever else like gym class, band, dance team, cheer, etc.

In four years, we may be mentioning this years starting kicker as one of the greats. JD will be a stud if they let him....

Why would he go to UK when they have Whitlow and Towles? That doesn't say much about Strops confidence in his two sophomore QB's! If this kid is Mr. Football prospect, I would go where I'm going to start, not play some after getting promised the world. Good luck buddy, hope you make the right choice.

It is my opinion in which I am entitled to. Toughen up a little. Just stating the perception of an outsider looking in. All I can say is be patient. The good news is, with NCC changing coaches too, some kids may consider staying in Alexandria instead of going to Newport...

I know one that had it offered to him but turned it down. I don't think anyone with credibility will take it. Your going into a no-win situation. Once you don't win right away they'll be calling for your head. I sympathize with whomever accepts the job. I think Thunderbird should throw his had in the ring. He does excellent with the middle schoolers.

Has Brossart found a head coach yet?

No one has mentioned the possibility of Jeff Barth from Walton. I know he is happy there but being from Ft Thomas, he'd be a great fit at New Cath. Is Wagner a lock?

I am amazed that Bishop Foys would allow all the athletes to go to one school...But the diocese IS in Covington. After watching the beat down BBHS gave Highlands the other night in hoops, I'd say they have plenty of athletes in Alexandria. They just all play basketball I guess. Here is the issue. You have a handful of huge Brossart football supporters that want a Beechwood or a New Cath program seemingly overnight while others reasonably know that it takes time and consistency to build a program. If you keep getting rid of the coach every other year, I promise the program will fail. Gotta get someone who is a homer to come in and start selling this program and plant some roots. Maybe having a facility to call their own would help but NCC has borrowed Newport forever and they're pretty good. The other problem is, kids that go to Brossart are going for a good Catholic education not because of football. All I know is, those boys on that court the other night could have made some amazing wide receivers and the Saunders would probably be a stud running back or tight end. I'm not sure if any of their bb players play football but until they get all their best athletes to play football, they will not see much improvement. Look how many players from NCC and HHS play football and basketball.

In Whack Em's defense he did not go to Highlands and is not originally from Fort Thomas. Some people that come here being from somewhere that may have a previously objective opinion of our town don't always see things with the blue and white glasses that us homegrown birds are accustomed to. I do however think you may have overstated your point this time but I get it. Maybe no one has suggested to add a message with these visits. They could do a speech about bullies, etc. and could make a nice service project out of it to have on their college applications. I think this is innocent and in the modern age of political correct ness an old tradition now is painted as arrogance. I'll never forget my first game I went to and I got Phil Whaley's chin strap. They just won regionals and he took it off and handed it to me. It was my Mean Jo Green moment. I was hooked on Birds football after that. Guess he wasn't the right role model for me but he was great back then...Sorry Whack Em, I guess I'm the loud minority. We all know the loud part is right...

I was very impressed with Highlands JV and happy to see them hang on to win. The Varsity game was hard to watch. Brossart looked great as they usually do. Their basketball is to them as our football is to us. I can't get over how great BBHS played together. They had seamless substitutions and never missed a beat regardless of who was in. Saunders is sick. That boy is big and aggressive. They got a ton of height and every kid on their team has a fire that our boys didn't seem to have, with the exception of Buten #3. That kid is all heart. I do have to say that I'm pretty disappointed in the fans and administration of Brossart. Their fans displayed every single version of poor sportsmanship that someone could do and it seemed like the school supported it. I found myself struggling to explain why they did all those things to my twin 9 year olds who are young basketball players and didn't get it. Shame on you Brossart Admin. and your ridiculous fans! Congrats to coach Code and the great basketball players.
