I will say that not only did they lose Kinmon, but they lost Xavier Thomas, who played a ton last year and was a kid that the coaches were expecting to be a big part of the offense this year. They also lost Nathan Davis to Ryle which may not be a huge loss but he was one of their best defensive players last year and late in the year gave quality minutes and both of these guys were their best leapers and could play above the rim. The Braves will always be scrappy with coach Hicks and will fight in every game. The schedule should help their overall record this year and the district will be competitive but they do have alot of work this year to get to the top of the 8th region. Best of luck to Coach Hicks and the Braves. Also best of luck to Kinmon and his new school, Jalen is a good kid and comes from a basketball bloodline, he will be an assest to WV and help bring experience to the team.

Totally agree with Clyde but you cant forget you have to have some good lineman, that is where it starts, in the trenches. Also helps to have a good defense

Wow!! confusing to say the least

Horst Mulmann, you could go back to the 4 class system and there is still a very good possibility that Highlands would end up playing Pendleton in district play. When we were in 4 classes Pendleton was suppossed to be in the district with Cov. Cath., highlands, Grant, and South Oldham. PC chose to play non-district instead of playing district play. Very good attitude by the PC kids, just keep plugging to get better. You can draw up 50 different solutions and you will find this, teams that do not match up to the Highlands of the state. The JV and younger kids played most of the game. This year the starting QB PT, has played 18 quarters, they are good and the reality is alot of the teams they are beating are not as good as them. Best of luck to PC next week and rest of the season. As far as a solution, maybe go to 5 classes and have a 6th super class playoff division, where you put the top teams from class 456 in there and allow teams to petition to play up into this division, or you go to a system like Ohio where you have to play and beat the top teams in order to get in. No real answer, it is what it is and we go play and try to get better.
