Perry at home, Letcher don't rebound and don't play defense. They have some great guards that can shoot and run the heck out of their offense though. Will be a close game, but Perry is playing awfully well as of late and will take this one at home. 62-58

Rowan against Perry or Breathitt would be a great first round game for the mountain teams. Perry could match the speed of Rowan, but Breathitt has size and a great guard.

Wouldn't go as far as saying "ANY NUMBER" maybe 1, Alice Lloyd. Collins is big, but misses way to many easy shots under the basket and is pretty slow for his size. Even small college players would eat him up.

Wouldn't really be goal tending would it? How about Basket Interference!

PCC should really be a packed house on monday night. Letcher and Perry will both have their big crowds here and then the Hazard/Estill crowds will be pretty big as well. Should be a great semi-final night in the 14th. I see Hazard/Letcher matching up in the finals. Should be another great one.

Some officials are driving over 300 miles round trip to a ball game. That will be 60 bucks they will make just on mileage, and I believe they are getting $65 a game, so they are being paid $125 to go and call a ball game. While some of the other refs they ride with only make $65 because they only pay 1 mileage. Is that even fair?

Clark would make a good one to walk on at UK, I think if everyone would get over their jealousy and really take an unbiased look at this kids talents, they would really see a great kid and great ball player. Yes maybe he shot a little too much for his team, but when you are being pushed to do that by parents and coaches, it happens. I think if he would of been on a team where there wasn't other intensions going on, he would of been an even better looking player to everyone. The kid can play and when you surround him with better talented players he will shine even more. Yes Cox is a great player, but no one else on that team will ever do anything else after high school. Unless a deal is made to get Clint on a team where he can shoot the 3 ball.

Some regions have boys and girls playing at the same place. Would be impossible to play them all in the same night, would just have to bump everything back, only way to do it. Going to be bad out there, ice first then snow, not a good situation for anyone to have to try and drive in.

I wouldn't get all that excited about beating Breathitt County. They were the weakest winner in the region. They wouldn't of made it out of the other 3 districts. Perry is playing well, but they need to really get ready for Letcher, will be a tough match up for them. They have way to many guards.

The way Estill is shooting the ball, they could win in a major upset. But the way Hazard is clicking, it would be a tall task for them, I'll take Hazard by 10+

Breathitt will have nothing for Sturdivant, and PCC will have nothing for Shouse. I think the tempo of the game predicts the winner early. If Perry can pick up the pace on them, they can come out on top, but if it's a game in the 40's, Breathitt wins by 5. Should be a packed house in Stanton though, can't wait to be on the front row.

Been done on Sunday before. Would probably push all the games back to Sunday, Monday and then Tuesday, Wednesday.

Hated to see Coach Spurlock have this early of an exit, maybe this will give him more time to get on the computer and send some more e'mails that can be posted in the papers. Go Hounds, great game.

Georgetown College would be a good fit for him and I think he would do well there. But I'm sure if they offered him a walk on spot at UK who wouldn't take that. That would be a great opportunity for him and would wish him the best of luck.

Play Hazard a 3-2 zone packed in and make them shoot it on the outside...If they hit and beat you, you get beat, if they don't, I would like my chances, not very consistent from outside the arc!

Guess they wanted people to come instead of sitting at home watching for free, can't blame them for that one!

Ever since the new Coach has been at Clay, they have only had problems, maybe someone will get the picture eventually. And I guess he got what he deserved in a great match up first round with Corbin! Good luck, hope all the talk about the 14th region officials helps your hopes Coach, I'm sure there will be a couple guys that just can't wait to get to Knox county for you!

A.J.'s last name is Davis people, if your going to talk about someone at least get it right. He came from the 10th region a couple years ago and of course you can see why he was run off from their. Arrogant is an understatement, that is why he would not confer with his 2 partners on the game, very experienced 2 guys that they were could of helped him out of a mess if he would of let them. I guess that is what happens when coaches don't go and rate officials like they supposed to do, Breathitt's went and Jackson City's didn't, so Breathitt gets who they want and Jackson City don't get to argue who is put on the game, Congrats to both teams on making the region, sorry that the win had to be tarnished though!

Yes, I think a 4-6 inch forcast was enough to postpone for safety reasons.

Rescheduled for Thursday, same time as tonight games were. Girls at 6 and boys at 7:30, finals girls moved to Friday at 7 and boys moved to Saturday at 7

Is it true these games at Powell have been cancelled tonight due to weather? When is the make up day?

Cox has had time to get healed and should be close to 100%, unless his injury is worse than what they thought. If he is healthy, he is the type of player that won't let them lose. Clark will do his thing, but when it gets down to crunch time, if he is healthy, Cox will take over the game and do what needs to be done, whether it is to hit Collins in the post or Clint on the wing for a 3, or drive himself to the basket, he can do it all. Clark will get his 20+ and Tate should do the rest 15-18 pts, 8-10 assists, Jbs wins by 6. If Cox is not healthy and they rely on how they have played the last 5 or so games, Letcher by 5.

The 14th will still call the 13th and they will be happy to have them, the 13th will go to the 15th and hate every minute of it, the 15th will unfortunately go to the 14th. This is set in stone and will not be changed no matter what you have heard. It's not that easy to change once it's agreed upon by the KHSAA.
