hoops22 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Middlesboro Barbourville Clay Co. Whitley Co. South Laurel North Laurel Harlan Lynn Camp
Cat_n_the_Hat Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Yes what a draw for the Lady Cats of Lynn Camp.
Region13 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Horrible draw for the Lady Tigers of Clay, this is the reason I hate the draw. The two best teams in the region are Clay and Middlesboro and these two teams should have meet in the championship game.

Region13 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Not in my opinion their not, South was beat by Clay and Middlesboro. As for Whitley they are just as good when the Jones girl is hitting her 3's. Also you have to admit South got the much easier draw, although North did play Clay Co extremely close.
Les Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 It doesn't matter who got an easier draw or not. Playing your cross-town rival in the first round of an elimination game isn't going to be easy. I'm not looking through rose colored glasses. I wouldn't be surprised to see Middlesboro, South, Clay, Whitley or North Laurel win.
Region13 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 O im not looking through rose colored glasses either, The Lady Tigers in my opinion are the best team in the region but Middlesboro/South/ Whitley could beat them on certain nights. Mboro is an EXTREMELY dangerous team, and to me it depends on how the refs are calling the game if Mboro wins region, Mboro is a very physical team and if the refs are letting it get physical then that could help the Lady Jackets out alot. The winner of the top bracket will be your team going to Diddle Arena, whether its Clay/Mboro/Whitley I dont know but one of those teams will head to Diddle Arena.
Les Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 6:30 and 8:30. There will be no split sessions for the girls games.
ST5 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Could beat the Lady Tigers??? Whitley already has and very handlely, it was not as close as the 10 or so margin.
Region13 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I think anyone who saw that game knew that WHitley Co was on fire than night and Clay Co was like Ice. I think it will be a different story this time around.
Andrew_Corbin Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I think the Girl's 13th Region Tournament is going to be as competitive as the Boy's. There are four teams that can win this thing--Clay Co, Middlesboro, South Laurel, and Whitley Co. With that said, I still believe if you are going to win the Girl's 13th Region Tourney, then you're going to have to dethrone the Lady Tigers. Until someone knocks them out, they have to be favorite to win it again. Or maybe the seas of change are coming and Clay Co girls and South Laurel boys will finally lose one. If I were a coach, I would adopt Obama's motto, "Yes, we can!" LOL
Region13 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I agree the girls tournment should be just as exciting as the girls.
Andrew_Corbin Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I wish I had time to go to all the games in the 13th Region--boys and girls; however, with work and attempting to obtain a master's degree, it will not be possible. I do plan on going to the Corbin/Clay Co game on Wednesday. I may end up going to the girl's semi-finals and finals this weekend. We'll see. Good luck to all the teams.

If you can't make it to a game, you can watch them online at http://www.wazoosports.com. The WazooSports folks are covering the ENTIRE 13th Region tournament and even the SFs and finals of the 11th Region as well.
