If you go by the light, he got the shot off in time. However, can you grab a rebound, take two dribbles, take a long stride and get a shot off in 1.7 seconds?

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen shots like that before but never to win a championship. I can't imagine how those kids feel right now...

THe light doesn't matter in high school. If you remember, there was a similar situation in S16 a few years back on Friday. Kid hits shot that TV replays later showed was AFTER the horn, but BEFORE the light. The refs got that one right as the horn governs in high school. The light has no bearing. You will notice they got smart after that at S16. The light isn't even connected on the backboard.

Reminds me of the Beechwood/Murray football championship game some years back. Just like in Murray, I'm sure the fans in Spartanburg won't soon forget this one.
