They had regional tournaments both years, but decided to "test the waters" with inviting 4 to Memorial in 1991 and 8 in 1992. Bracken Co. made the Final 4 in 1991. Our sectional was @ LexCath and I remember our girls playing both the semis and Finals on the same day.

What about the 1998 regional final? :banana:

10th region overachievers: Mason- they're better right now than I expected them to be and improving every night! Scott- see above. I'm not saying I thought either would be bad, just didn't figure either to be a frontrunner this year. underachiever: Bracken- I thought with a new coach would maybe come a new attitude... I guess not. They have been playing better as of late. Hopefully they can put a streak together this week.

Nice strategy fouling at the end by Conner as well.

While I'll be pulling for the 10th region squad here, I think Franklin wins by 8.

He's a great guy. I for one miss him at Bracken Co.! Good luck guys.

They (providing both make it that far) have a potential game with Brossart in the quarterfinals. Thier defensive pressure could cause a problem.

I think Clark and Mason are more 1 and 1A than 1 and 2. We'll find out February 6. GRC has a tough week then, facing LexCath on 2/3 and then Mason on 2/6. Everything else looks great though.

Honestly, I don't think we have a chance at beating Brossart, unless we play a perfect game and thier off. I'd be happy with facing them on Saturday night.

Bracken with 3 wins in thier last 4 games. Hopefully, they're coming together at the perfect time with the Class A this week.
